Lakers - Blazers - Thunder (Dort / Grant / ++)

Post#1 » by MessiahUjiri » Wed Jun 26, 2024 3:56 am

Disclaimer and Rationale: The Lakers are too star focused, but they badly need a wing defender dog. Based on the other Dort thread, it inspired me to realize that Dort is now expendable with Caruso / Cason, and the Thunder need a starting Forward. Portland wants to rebuild and dump salary.

Lakers out: #17 pick + Rui Hachimura.
Lakers in: Lu Dort

Thunder out: Lu Dort
Thunder in: Jerami Grant

Blazers out: Jerami Grant
Blazers in: #17 pick + Rui Hachimura.

Lakers should be getting something back. I like Dort but I also see Rui as a + impact player. Maybe Portlands 2nd.

No thanks for Portland. Value is less than what we'll sell Grant for

We already have 4 picks this draft. No need for any more.

Looking for a better deal.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

I prefer Rui over Grant contracts considered. Dort over Grant as well. I don't see either team here helping Portland.

Why dont we just cut Portland out?

Rui+17 for Dort basically

I think we are probably overpaying, but I like the fit

Even if DLO leaves, I think we could then be solid

Try to sign Cp3 for the min

Reaves, Dort, ?, Lebron, AD
Cp3, Christie?, Vando, Wood

Still have the MLE and can look to go for Cam Johnson or DFS?

I would like to get 17 and package it with 14 to move up to 8 or 9. SA gets Castle at 4, then Salaun at 14 and Topic at 17. Portland Gets Edey and Knecht. Portland gets their 2 roty candidates.

Castle gets to be PG for a year while Topic heals and they get another high upside guy with Salaun to develop.

I’m definitely a Homer, but I think I’d rather have Dort than Grant?

I think the only thing better about Grant is his height. Everything else is equal or advantage Dort.

If we ended up with Rui and Grant then maybe it’s a net upgrade.

Yeah don’t see this for OKC. Grant doesn’t help with what OKC needs at the 4 and that contract is way too big.

OKC waits and see if there are other moves .
