I still have my own personal dream scenario(s) and I'll stick to that and blindly trust Morey will turn water into wine. No matter what it takes.

I don't think the Knicks got that good? yeah Mikal is great but he overlaps with OG, they also got no picks left which means they have to keep Randle until he expires and this is their team.

Letting Hartenstein go also means they only have Robinson as center which is amazing but also, a high foul per minute option

That team has zero efficient self-creation outside of Brunson too.

What worries me about the trade is the possibility of pick inflation and guys like Ainge demanding like 8 picks for a guy lol

Finney-Smith would be a great addition to our team. But maybe a bit too expensive?

The ones in 2029 and 2031 can be very interesting

It seems to me that both OKC and the Knicks have already advanced in their stages to build a team capable of countering the Celtics.

I think the Knicks believe that OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges, along with Donte DiVincenzo, are a more advanced type of 3&D players. They can hurt you if you choose to get the ball out of Brunson’s hands. Additionally, both guys are lengthy and switchable, which is a step towards defending the Celtics’ five-out offense.

OKC is impressive, NY I still have to see it. They lack playmaking

But none of Celtics or NYK seem too concerned about not having anyone who can contain Embiid. Maybe they don't care :-?

How about we trade for Ingram, sign Jalen Smith, and re-sign Oubre?

Maxey
Oubre
Ingram
Smith
Embiid

This lineup provides us with significant length and the ability to play a five-out offense.

Can that match and possibly have the size edge over the Celts?

So, our likely current goal is to trade our pick to acquire Brandon Ingram, correct?

Wow, that Bridges trade is a massive first domino to fall and likely means the Knicks are done for the summer. A huge trade leverage player off the board early in the offseason. That price is an awful precedent tho for future deals.

I’ve gotten fixated on DDR & Ingram but I think this summer will see some major makeovers across the league so their are likely possibilities that I’m not considering.

If you can get Ingram for two first round picks is a fantatic trade.

No, the Knicks decided to corrupt the market making it so giving up any pick(s) for Ingram will put this team still behind the two headed monsters of the east.

They don't care, but this will work to Morey's advantage, because contrary to popular belief, Joel when healthy is the best player in the league Jokic be damned equal or just above, but then again all arguments surrounding the latest MVPs, you have to understand that we're talking about 2 centers yet centers are suddenly toxic to the construction of a championship team I guess?

That's way too much for a guy like Bridges but the Sixers are getting lapped. And picks do not have the value we need to pull off a big deal right now.

Tomorrow is the exam, and we didn’t study because we thought we could trade the exam and our homework for a hamburger.

Bridges is what, the 50th best player in the NBA?

Personally think he’s a system player so could do well on the Knicks but was very ordinary for us for a fair % of last season when asked to step up

His contract is good though as we’re living in a world where Barnes is being paid $40+ million a year

The Bridges trade just reinforces that some of you have no earthly idea what you are talking about. So many of proclaiming that Bridges was not available and yet here we've got a trade. Good for New York. It's hard to dislike what they are doing.

He ain’t that life anymore, Thibs. In his head, he’s 6’7” Kevin Durant. In reality, he’s Wesley Johnson 2.0

You're being disingenuous. Most people said one of two things: that Bridges wouldn't be available unless he requested a trade here, or that we'd get outbid if he became available. Both things turned out to be true.
