2) Trade down/Sarr
13) If 2) is traded and we trade Kuz; Edney/Topic
26) Dadiet/Holmes
52) Chomche

So:

2) Sarr
13) Topic
26) Dadiet
52) Chomche

or

7) Castle
13) Topic
14) Edney
26) Dadiet
52) Chomche

But given how well this FO has kept the cards to the chest, I am pretty happy right now.

#2: Sarr, Risacher, Castle, Sheppard,
#26: Collier, Simpson, Shannon
#51: Ingram, McCullar

Of course, all of this changes if there’s a trade down.

I’m not saying Kuz is worth 5 FRPs (Bridges isn’t worth 5 FRPs), but if that’s the scale he’s worth at least 3 FRPs and a player.

Bridges is an extremely good player. Really outstanding. Kuz is not a good player. Period.

Seems obvious that the Knicks have decided that they have a shot to win a title. That they are one outstanding player away from a real run at it. Hence, however much they give away of their future, who cares? It's worth it.

For that reason, I don't think their move gives us any real info about what Kuz might or might not bring.

IMO, Kuz for any R1 pick in any draft is a bargain.

This is honestly the type of package I’d be looking for in an Avdija trade.

I wonder what Brooklyn is going to do next. They can’t tank because they don’t own their picks. So I expect some other win-now move with maybe some of those New York picks going out in exchange for veteran talent.

They just got their 2025 pick back. The tank is on.

Or the 2 first rounders the Knicks have in this draft.

Ruzious wanted to go all in on the Nova guys back in 2018- hope he's enjoying what the Knicks are doing.

Where did you see that? From the tweet, it looks like they got the Knicks’ 2025 pick, not their own.

Follow-up Rockets trade. They traded some of the KD Suns picks for their 2025 pick back. We might not be the worst team in the nba. Ext year ugh.

I think about Ruzious pretty frequently; I hope he's doing ok. Wish he was still on the Board....

They can also just buy their way back up in drafts too .

Bold move by the Knicks but seems like an overpay. I wonder if they will be able to keep OG.

Just did the ESPN simulator.

Got

Sarr
Shannon
Ingram

I'd be happy with that

#13 seems like a done deal. Question is who is going to be available/who do they want in that range?

I think they want McCain, but there’s a real chance any/all of these guys are available:

Topic
McCain
Dillingham
Collier

Outside shot they reach on Dadiet.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

That would be a dream. You could start to see a bonafide developmental team forming:

Topic
Shannon
Bilal
Deni
Sarr

Topic wouldn't play this year, so the tank would be strong.

Next year add Flag to that group and let's go!

Sarr has to be excited by the possibility of playing with Bilal, also, DC has a decent size French community, more-so than ATL.

Ultimately, I think they have to include #26 to get the Kuzma/SAC deal over the finish line. It’ll be disappointing, but the potential prize at #13 could be well worth it, especially if they land Topic. (Think Topic goes #8 to SAS though).

What a brilliant move by Brooklyn!

Now they control their own destiny. They can tank these next two season at a time when very few teams are trying to tank, clear some old salary off the books, and then hit free agency in Summer 2026 with a boatload of cash and a bunch of young prospects.
