With the 16th pick in the 2024 draft, the Philadelphia 76ers select: G Lebron James Jr. from the University of Southern California.

Also, i don't think people are reading the report well?? the trade for Mikal was available because he forced his way to NY.

If it was a desire from the Nets i'm pretty sure they would have elected to trade with the Rockets to get their picks back

I’m still in shock from the Bridges trade. I thought the Knicks were staying patient with their draft assets so they could opportunistically deal for a real superstar. The fact that they burned their assets on Bridges (who demanded a trade specifically to the Knicks) is crazy to me.

I hope I’m wrong, but I would say prepared to be let down tonight, and the remainder of the off-season. Hopefully they show Morey his walking papers.

I find it suspect about the report that he requested a trade to the Knicks. I don't mean the report itself being suspicious, but it's interesting because typically when a player asks out to a specific team, that team doesn't have to bid as high because they're the team the player wants to be traded to. Yet the Knicks still gave up a lot to get Bridges. It's pretty mind boggling.

So I was just reading the T&T board... with the new rules, anytime you take in more salary than you send out in a trade, it hard caps you at the 1st apron. Even if you're taking players into cap space.

That's gonna be a problem when it comes time to pay Maxey. Trades might be out unless they stay over the cap and just S&T everybody.

The whole thing is sketchy. The Nets already had the deal with Houston in place before they engaged NY on Bridges apparently. And who also didn't know Bridges asked for a trade there? The Knicks paid too much there's no question. There's also no question they are a much better team than they were last week.

Why not? If this summer is another epic failure, it’s time to get rid of him

Well, the tweet says that Bridges reps were saying to other teams that he wasn't resigning with them, so that would kill almost any trade.

The draft tonight is the 10th anniversary of Joel Embiid being drafted. Is there another team that accomplished less with a player they drafted and won the MVP than the Sixers in the Embiid era?

At which point does the can stop being kicked down the road and actually play for the PRESENT with Embiid and not for some future that is looking increasingly unlikely to occur? He's no spring chicken.

My prediction is that we either trade for Ingram tonight or keep whatever prospect we draft at #16. Unless a trade happens tonight, I think we end up using our space on FAs and don’t end up making any major trades in the offseason.

the funny thing is that the Butler trade with Minny was highway robbery. The Tobias trade from the Clippers may have been a bit redundant, but ultimately I think it ended up being a #18 ov & #19 ov 1sts with Landry Shamet never being more than a bench guy.

It's what happened that summer that burned the franchise. C'est La vie.

Really it was a 2 year period considering the Fultz trade started the burn and we were dead by the time Horford's contract was inked.

I put the estimate at a conservative 25% of Sixer fans are praying for Ben to come back.

No chance the fraudster gets fired this off-season after he just got a contract extension.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
