NY, Brooklyn are no longer destinations for DM. All this did is increase Heats chances to get him if he is not extending and traded.

Just depends. If you see a guy you really like you might make the move! I’d say they really like Carter and Castle, maybe even the potential of Dillingham slipping a little

OK ... but we're the only ones who like those players? This scenario hinges teams at the top being unhappy with the players that we'd be thrilled to get, and that one of them would view Herro and his contract as a better option, or as the key to turning their fortunes around.

Hope seems to be doing a lot of heavy lifting.

We don't have assests to improve this roster and we can't compete for a title with this team.
Maybe its time to blow it up while Jimmy still have value..
Not too bad be a lottery team next year.

Yeah Bum is not going anywhere unless he really wants out and already fed with FO.

When was the last time a Heat player requested a trade? None I can remember

You are considered a clown if you want to be traded from the Heat hahahaha. Maybe Waiters wanted out and got his wish after gummy gate.

Not that it matters but last time something like that happened, Shaq comes to mind.

Old man keeps fuxking around every summer and missing out on Bams boys and an every other major improvement it might come a time where Bam decides it’s time to move on. If Mitchell doesn’t extend and Pat still can’t land him after the Knicks and Nets removing themselves from the race that’ll be 3 summers in a row now Pat can’t get it done. Is it likely Bam wants out? No. But if this keeps happening every summer while other teams aren’t scared and swing for the fences to give themselves the best chance to win he could start opening up to it

We do not have the crazy draft capital to pull a trade like that of the Knicks. Our draft capital was even worse in prior years than it is now. Our problem has been bigger than just Riley falling asleep… it started when we sent a bunch of picks for players that were signing with us anyways (Bosh and Lebron), which led to a domino effect of later trades (like Dragic) being done using future draft capital that bled into these last few years. We are just now recovering from that and the Rozier trade essentially locked us in to a similar status of operating with limited draft capital. We have draft capital, but nothing like what the Knicks just dropped.

I don't understand why Heat fans want to start speaking this into some sort of reality when there are no signs of it being the case. Dude was drafted #14 and has been nothing but empowered by Miami ever since. Bam has flourished as a result.

3X All-Star, 5x All-defense, 2 finals appearances, 3 ECF appearances. All in his first 7 seasons in the NBA.

We're all frustrated that Miami hasn't been able to make a move to get over the hump and are stuck with some contracts that were clear mistakes. But, if Bam is being failed by Miami, then what Star player hasn't been utterly failed by their franchise?

Yea I agree we don’t have similar resources but a lot of that is just due to bad asset management which falls on the FO as well. You’re right it’s a bigger issue than being asleep at the wheel
