We were Kds 2nd choice, I wonder if there’s any interest there still. I just don’t think the value for some of these guys (Mitchell and KD to be exact) is going to be as crazy as some of us think due to contract, age, etc. and just because Mikal netted the Nets 5 1sts doesn’t mean every player that’s better than him is going to require more, that’s not how it works

As great as KD is, I don't think the price is worth the player at this point in his career.

You might be right, I’m curious on the price though. His numbers are still insane, he was underutilized in the playoffs for sure they didn’t have an answer for him

Durant still has two more years left on his deal and fits on virtually any team and seen around the league as a top 10 dude.

The same way we have no chance at durant with our current assets, unless we trade Jimmy and jjj jovic (but then what's the point?), the sixers don't have the assets to entice us to trade Jimmy (unless they traded Maxey, but then what's the point?).

Sixers don't have assets so they're just doing their best at stirring the pot hoping Jimmy demands a trade like he has before. Thing is he loves miami and this team. So it's pointless. Only way we trade him is if it's for a great package and has his blessing and we land Donavan or similar promising star type player.

Fox is who we should be targeting but honestly I don't think Kings is in that bad of a spot. That team still looks good and can make a move.

Brian Windhorst says Jimmy isn’t going to ask for a trade.

The FO standing pat and having several finals appearances over the last few years does not seem like such a terrible outcome compared to other teams who have been more aggressive than us with minimal gains at the end of the season/playoffs when all is said and done.

It worked well for the Celtics and Nuggets to make some aggressive moves, but they also had some young home grown all star players. At the end of the day, only one team gets the ultimate prize and our Alpha usually loses steam by the third round. Our play should have been to trade Herro a while back… but then again, home grown stars is part of the recipe for success and we hoped Herro would be that guy for us as well.

I always wondered what Buffalo Bill fans would be like today, three super bowls no championships. For the past decade we have 2 finals with no rings. Had we faced the Warriors we would also probably lose. Just nice big picture perspective.

The Bucks made moves and won a ring.
Boston made moves and won a ring.
The Nets had to deal with covid and Kyrie becoming a cancer, Its a risk everyone would take since Covid was a once in a lifetime thing
The Suns are in year one of that core. They need depth, we didnt win in year one. They are not a play in team like we are.

Let's not excuse inaction. Go big or go home. Fortune favors the bold, not the ones that do nothing.

Buffalo went to 4 straight Super Bowls and lost them all, not 3.

KD would be the perfect fit here in the sense that he can carry the offense so Jimmy doesn't have to, he can stretch the floor from the PF spot, he's on Jimmy's timeline, and has 2 years left on his deal like Jimmy.

I don't see how we make it work though.
