This is why he was a pass for me when he was discussed here a couple of weeks ago.
4 future first and they'll need to eventually extend him to $40-$50m per year. He's never been an all-star.

I read Bridges requested Knicks. They had to pay that Pirce to compensate for the extra picks sent to Houston for Nets draft rights, without those draft rights, Nets weren't trading Bridges.
It doesn't stop there, looks like Houston is targeting Clingan to leverage teams & in agreeing to swap Suns draft rights for the more valuable Nets picks. They have to have interest in someone on the Suns roster. Where they would value control of their draft after how last season went.
Suns are a Durant trade from restructuring a decent team around Booker. Nets had no avenue but draft.
Houston is big game hunting.

It depends.
The first round picks are a gamble too.
They realize what they're getting with Bridges so there's not an unknown. That can be a win in it's self.

Houston may want KD but Phoenix is probably offering Beal. KD will be 36 years old in September, so i would move him now, if I'm not able to move Beal, because I don't believe Phoenix goes anywhere as long as Beal is on the team. KD is signed for two more years and will want an extention. That's bad for business unless Phoenix makes some serious moves to become a true contender.
Alperen Şengün would be an interesting player for Phoenix. Phoenix needs to build around Devin Booker for now and wait to strike for a younger superstar talent once they become available.

Frustratingly, Beal has a no-trade clause.
He goes nowhere unless he wants to.
Trading 21 year old Sengun for old, hobbled, disgruntled Kevin Durant is the height of insanity.
I'd love to get in on that trade if possible and get Sengun here next to Onyeka and Trae.

I have no proof but if I was Houston not a chance I'm trading the Nets draft rights for the Suns draft rights for anything less than a prime target from the Suns. Beal isn't it.
The 4 controlled years are more valuable to Suns than 4 normal picks. Houston had Nets by the balls because Bridges requested NY & Nets couldn't facilitate that demand without the 4-2 payment for control of their draft back. Knick's cushioned that blow by overpaying with 6 picks. They paid the price for the Nets draft rights.
I've seen Sengun mentioned to the Suns, I've read of deals like Williams & #6 to Houston, which make sense as a potential replacement.
I'd be surprised if it's not Durant or Booker they're lining up for. I believe it will be Durant. As Suns probably think they can retool around Sengun & Booker.

There was recent news that when NO's checked in on Houston, they inquired about Sengun for BI. Reportedly turned down.

I don't know how to find a post, but I told it weeks ago here, it was written that NYK would go after Bridges, and that ATL should focus on other players than him.
That, added with keeping Anunoby, is more surprising.

The Knicks gave up a great deal for him. I'm currently at the Garden and they're very happy to have Bridges.

I imagine that they can be happy, the way the three other Villanova guys have fitted together this last season, it can be the same with Bridges. No, the cost was high for sure
