NYK - Randle/Robinson for OG/IHart
First off, I have been calling the Bridges to NYK for months as evident with my trade posts here and I have been giving great value to him which was criticized on this board esp Knicks fans, yet i feel like the Knicks overpaid him even further on the actual trade.
BUT I also have a feeling that the Knicks traded away all those picks for Bridges just to get the deal done right away. But they would've preferred to trade Robinson or even Randle and have room to re-sign both OG and IHart. So now, the plan can be to just trade Robinson or Randle for picks to have some back.
Robinson to WAS or MEM or GSW for a 1st and maybe 2nd?
- Wizards need a young starting C
- Mem has been looking for a C to pair with JJJ
- Dubs get a lengthy C
Randle to OKC or MEM or SAS for 3 1sts and a filler?
- Randle can bring toughness to OKC's interior
- He is a perfect playmaking F alongside Morant and JJJ
- His game can compromise Wemby on the frontcourt
They do those trades to get some picks back and re-sign OG and IHart
What do you guys think?

Re: NYK - Randle/Robinson for OG/IHart
Memphis likely would offer something like Zaire/Rose/Konchar and 2 2nds for Robinson. Zaire/Rose/2nd is likely dumped on another team. So the net return would be Konchar and 2nd for Robinson netting NY 8 million in savings.
I don't think Memphis offers anything of real value for Randle. I really don't think any team would offer anything close to 3 1sts for the expiring Randle. Don't let this return of Bridges skew you take on what Randle would return. Every team wants to add a plug and play guy like Bridges, likely only a few teams would even consider Randle at all. I think he would fetch positive value but it won't be 3 1sts.
Regarding OKC, I think they could be in play for everyone at the right cost. I think they rather just sign IH than target a non shooter like MRob. I don't really love Randle for them either, just not a good fit imo.

Yeah, I can't see 3 firsts for Randle and I think Mitchel is more or less a neutral offer where if you don't want to take any salary back, you're either going into pure cap space or adding a sweetener yourself.

The Wizards need to continue tanking, so they don't really see the value in Robinson the player. They might participate to help the Knicks dump Robinson, but they would want compensation to do so. I would expect that they would want their protected FRP returned to them.
In a vacuum, the Knicks probably wouldn't need to include incentive just to offload him, but since the Knicks are pretty desperate to shave salary to resign Hart, OG and Hartenstein, I think they would pay the price if necessary. Surely, they will shop elsewhere first to see if someone would take Robinson off their hands for nothing. But if they strike out, then this is the cost.

If the Knicks needed pure 100% cap space then that might force the Knicks to pay to get off of him. But I think there will be several teams willing to build a trade package that nets the Knicks enough salary flexibility with out them needing to pay to get off 100% of his deal.
The Knicks are not going to be pressed for time like you seem to think, they can come to terms with OG but hold off on the signing until they find the right trade to fit their needs.

You are probably right. If it pans out that way, then the Wizards wouldn't be involved. But if they can't work anything out, they can give us a call.

I would love Randle.on OKC. A kind of experienced vet they need to add, not to old, secondary shot creator, threat from all over the floor, solid defender.
NY basically gets Hartenstein as part of the trade. Probably Kenrich, a pick or two, depending in which.
They can meet in the finals then.

This is how I see it too. Robinson is neutral value and I can see him either being traded for pure cap space with either low 1st or a couple 2nds going either way (Knicks trading it or getting it back), depending on desperation level of teams.

Same with the Pistons. Both franchises need to unfairly win a trade is the worst possible way, so please come to us when you have the stink of desperation on you

I would agree that I'd be positively stunned if Randle fetched anywhere close to 3 1st round picks.

crzyyafrican makes the best sigs, quite frankly

Re: NYK - Randle/Robinson for OG/IHart
I think Randle is worth 3 1sts if they are from a team where the picks don't have a ton of upside. I actually don't mind Randle in Golden State to fill Draymond's role on offense a bit when Green sits and focus on off ball movement and high-lows with Green when they share the court. Could add another offensive wrinkle outside of Curry that gives the Warriors a better chance at the playoffs.
