That last mock draft by Yahoo had Topic falling to 18…

If Topic falls I'd try to do what I could to get him. I just don't know what Raptors can give. Like say he's at 16 now, do we do like...19 and a 2nd round swap to grab him?

As a hurt player, he could help the stealth tank next year, and his ceiling is as high as anyone else in the draft imo. A few mocks have him going to OKC, but I honestly think OKC might just go for a more NBA ready player and try to go for it the next couple of years. With Shai playing heavy minutes anyway, I don't think they have that much need for Topic.

Once he start falling it might be hard to trade up because the team as well that we want to trade him may want to simply keep the pick .

Let’s say it’s LA. They want to compete and want a win now player .

#31 +#19 for #17 and draft Topic .

Maybe LA got the players they coveted at #17 but cheaper and gain a valuable 2nd rounder the trouble

But if he falls, maybe LA just decide to take him.

I said LA for sake of discussion but it could be Sacramento , Miami, Philly etc .
