Well Dallas doesn't have 6 and the Hornets don't have Lively so no way of knowing. And that's a lot of > considering how well Lively just played in a deep playoff run. But hey love your guy.

No idea why you are bringing up Lively. There are zero posts from me hyping up his trade value on this board. So weird to just randomly insert him. He has zero relevance.

So if you had 6 would you include Lively to move to 3 or no?

The Answer is no.

And the answer is Charlotte wouldn't include Williams to move up to #6.

But my point isn't about is Charlotte would do it, it is if they should do it. I think Charlotte should do it and I don't value Williams like you do.

Move on.

I think that's too much to move up for Charlotte unless they really love Clingan or something.

No, I would trade 6 for veteran help. Dallas was just in the Finals.

None of this has anything to do with Lively. You just seem mad I don't think Williams is super valuable and are trying to bait me into making some sort of homer stance on Lively. Pointless and bizarre.

I've got it. You think Williams is super valuable. cool. I do not think he has the value you do. The end. Lively still not relevant.

Value is always a question of value to who. I don't think Williams has value league wide because of the injury history, and even more so if we are willing to trade him. I do think he is very valueable to the Hornets and we aren't going to trade him for a low valuation because of what the rest of the league thinks.

moving from 6 to 3 isn't a low valuation. But its cool if you'd rather keep him.

The new FO and coaching staff have been lumping Mark in with Melo and Brandon Miller as our core going forward, it would legit shock me if they moved him in a deal like this.

ETA: I don't really understand viewing Clingan as a different caliber of prospect than a healthy Mark. They have roughly equivalent physical attributes, their per 40 stats their last college season are virtually identical other than Clingan having 4 more points and Mark having better FG% and FT%.

Lol
Maybe when Mark W will have, if ever, the same impact on the court that Dereck had this past season, especially when basketball mattered the most, until then no, I wouldnt swap Lively for Williams even with #6 attached.
And no, Luka and Kai have nothing to do with Lively defensive impact, if anything they make his work even harder.

Thats cool man, like your guy. I like my guy. I wouldn't trade Williams for Lively plus the number 1 pick. I value guys who can make free throws pretty highly.

Taking Williams over Lively and any player in this draft is quite a strong take. Feels like a terrible position to hold, but I'd feel it was slightly less terrible if it was built on something more substantial than FT% for guys who shoot 3.5 and 1.5 FT's per game.

Well, to each his own. On the other hand I value guys who can stay healthy and have already shown on their very first year in the league to be able to play an instrumental role on a Finalist team matching up very well against the like of Chet and reigning DPOY.

Houston has to stay at 3 if they wish to draft Sheppard. Virtually certain Sheppard would go
next to the Spurs if the Rockets traded down.

I was under the impression he was viewed as Houstons core, and really the guy fans were most excited about. But then every rumor seems to be Houston wanting another center etc..

I can't seem to understand. Sengun with Adams playing 15mpg off the bench seems like the Center spot is solidified.

If Charlotte does that, it means Mark's back is absolute toast

There's literally no reason to do this unless Mark can't play basketball anymore and Houston is taking a risk to rehab him. Healthy Mark Williams is a good player and can start on playoff teams, come on now.
