If we stay at 30 the only guy I’d really be disappointed selecting is Scheierman. Especially with the reports that they are working on a Hauser extension

Jeff Goodman thinks the Celtics need to trade for a Big as none of them available at 30 will even contribute as much as
Tillman...

i see on that list posted on pg 18 they worked out dillon jones. wouldn't be shocked to see us move back into the 2nd round and they pick him and maybe move the 2nd acquired pick or grab a development big or a guy like tristen newton.

going wing/pg for both picks would be on brand for the celtics

I actually didn't think I was going to be excited about this year's draft.

With only a few hours away from the start of the draft, I'm getting excited. It would be cool if we pick our 1st round pick. Let's go!

My favorite player in the draft is Zack Eddy. He won't be there at 30.
I'm starting to like Ryan Dunn for us. If Filipowski drops to us, that would be nice. Also like Anton Watson in the 2nd round. I like a few others for us too.

Just a gut feeling. We're not making the pick at #30. Entirely possible we don't welcome anyone tonight.

Dunn is one of the more polarizing players. He's all over the place in mocks. Best defender/worst offensive player in draft type of vibe.

We do know that he worked out for the Celtics, so if they think he can develop shooting, maybe there's a case. I think with moves like Mikal Bridges going to New York, a case can be made for shoring up the Celtics bench with a long defensive specialist that can play for a few minutes, giving the Celtics starters a breather.

Then again, Dunn has been linked to NY in some mocks. I haven't really tracked him as a Celtics pick, but can see him going in the 24-34 range.

I'm confident that Stevens will pick the BPA with each pick, although that may not happen until tomorrow. When he selects at #30 he may be picking for another team.

I’m hearing the Jazz are targeting several undersized combo guards that are hyper athletic, defensive minded players that have no jump shot.

If the Celts keep Pick 54, a second look at BC Center Quinten Post as a middle class Olynyk, a Big
who can hit 3-pointers, play Five Out and space the offense. Also, MIP of the ACC and "he was the only player in
Division I to post shooting splits better than 50/40/80 last season."

I’m expecting them to trade down and make multiple selections tonight so that we can compete for the summer league championship. Banners only around here

I am not surprised. He is probably the player I am most high on in this draft. If some team gets Trentyn Flowers in the 2nd round, he will be a steal too.

Just to go on record here: I want Scheierman, but think he'll be off the board. I want Bridges and think he'll be available. I also like Ajay Mitchell, and think he'll be available. Good with Jaylon Tyson too. And fwiw I am a good bit lower on Filipowski than is the consensus. Don't want him.

I don't think any bigs available from 30 on will be any better than X and/or Queta. I think we carry both of them into the regular season.

Guessing we trade back into the second round. That's all I have.

Should be a fun night even if we don't make any picks. I love the draft.

I’m giving about a 10% chance that we draft a player tonight
