Deni improved last season. Thought they liked him. Must have a target at 14

Re: OT: Wizards Trade Deni Avdija for Malcolm Brogdon
He's got a nice declining contract and all, but that feels like a lot for a player who has shot the 3 above league average 1 time in his 4 years.

Deni really played well last year. 15/7/4 with a 60 TS. He was one of the few bright spots for the Wiz last year. Surprised they gave on him for a mid 1st and a vet.

I’m surprised they are giving up on him tbh. He’s become a good player.

Better deal for the Wiz with that pick included, although it's a long way offdouggood wrote:OakleyDokely wrote:Any protections on it?ArthurVandelay wrote:

Wow, this is a weird one. Wizards trading their best asset who's locked up for 4 years on a bargain deal. Still, just 23 and looks to have some more room to grow even after a really good season.

He also shot +.060 on threes and +0.30 on 2s last year vs his first 3 years. You can argue that they're selling high. He's still a sub .800 FT shooter. 1 bad shooting season and a lot of the value he built last year disappears. He hit only 32% of his 3s after the all-star break.
