Re: Free Agency
I saw some rumor that the Rockets might be willing to part with Sengun in a package for Durant. Am I the only one thing who thinks that they'd be insane to do that?

Completely agree. Durant is a generational player but he'll be 36 by the start of next season and has already started to show some signs of decline. Why you would give up a 21y/o future All-Star in Sengun makes no sense to me.

Re: Free Agency
Yeah the Knicks tried to play hardball but once they landed Mikal there was only one way forward.
I gotta say, I like what they’re building. Good defense, solid fits all round, around Brunson who I believe in as a primary option. Randle needs to accept a smaller role or be traded. He doesn’t fit the rest.

I think part of it is the fact that Sengun is going to want a MAX extension this summer just like Cade, Mobley, Barnes, Franz, etc.... Houston is likely on the fence. Sengun is a very good up and coming young big but he does lack lateral quickness on the perimeter and he isn't get a good three point shooter but I think he will get it up over 33% eventually (currently at 29%). It's easy to see him as a great young player but the expectations change once you get that max deal you need to get better defensively and more efficient scoring the ball or you aren't living up to that contract.

Another domino falls. Wonder where Paul George ends up. Hope we at least get assets for providing financial assistance for all these all-in teams

Re: Free Agency
Another potential Pistons FA target off the board in Claxton. Can see why Langdon made it known early that we would take on contracts for picks. He must've realized the FA market would dry up quickly.

Can’t make any bad free agent pick ups if there are no free agents

Re: Free Agency
Rough man.
The last thing you wanted to see was a slew of free agents resigning before FA starts.
And…yeah, that’s what we’re seeing.
This right here is why Troy kept kicking the can down the road with our cap space, and why I wasn’t thrilled that this offseason was the one we’d hedged all of our hopes on.
Troy is gone but we still have to live with his mistakes.

Re: Free Agency
Claxton does feel like he could turn himself into a Jarrett Allen type I think $25 million per is a little high but I understand why the Nets will pay him that. He's probably their best player now.

Re: Free Agency
Time to bring home Tyus Jones, Naji Marshall, and Jonas V.... That leaves enough money to asborb a player for draft compensation as well and then we'd still have the room exception to spend on one more guy to bring us to 15 players.

Still too many teams with cap besides us to think we'll get those guys. Maybe we'll get one of them. Hopefully it's Naji.

Re: Free Agency
I already am puzzled by what Langdon is up to. The Pistons have to meet the salary floor at least. If the Pistons end up with garbage for second rounders, oh boy.
Also, if the Pistons trade down when Clingan is there, I'll be sick to my stomach.

Re: Free Agency
Claxton signed by the Nets! Fist pump from me. Did not want this guy. Overpaid at 4/$100m.

Like I said, it’ll likely be a great offseason for fans who don’t want any of these guys…

I’m not saying it’ll happen.
I am saying it’s pretty easy to see how it could…

Unless they are among the faction that doesn't want Tobias Harris

I…could stomach it depending on the money and years.
