Jimmy Butler plans to play out his contract with the Miami Heat and not entertain an extension with them or any other team that possibly would consider trading for him, reports Shams Charania on Stadium. Butler has a player option for 25-26, which would enable him to either become a free agent or could orchestrate an opt-in-and-trade scenario.
Butler would like to remain with the Heat and plans to have an outstanding 24-25 season with his eye toward securing a major contract next offseason.
There has been reported trade interest in Butler from the Philadelphia 76ers amongst other teams.
