hard to be upset getting a high upset guy at 11. even if he doesn't pan out, on paper it was the right move.

Yea it was too easy for AKME not to mess this pick up since certain guys that were projected lower went high.

Now we need to run the young guns! Meaning we let DDR go.. keep Zach at least until deadline. We rehab his value. With Buzelis, we got our Franz Wagner… lets not waste this moment!!

No idea who any of these kids are this year, but I love this pick. Especially after seeing clips of the players taken before him. I wasn’t expecting much at 11 in a draft labeled very weak, but the talent and tools flashed. Then combined with his interview and passionate desire to be here… a local kid too… for the first time in over a year, I’m excited as a Bulls fan.

Strip it down AK, let Demar walk, dump Lavine, and build with Coby and the kids. Even if it’s a development year that doesn’t produce a ton of wins, much rather have that, especially if next year’s class looks promising.

Would be intertesting if carter was picked for the bulls in a trade for lavine. Give us carter, heurter and filler for lavine and i could support that.
We have Martell Webster. He's called Kyle Korver here, and we shall love him and squeeze him and call him Ashton. -BrooklynBulls

Carter is an odd pick for the Kings too many small PG types...need more of a Wing...could that ignite the Zach talks again?

Could it already be in place that Carter and a Hurter type comes here since we need a PG, and Lavine heading to SAC?

Patrick isn’t getting traded. Matas and him will play together. Hyper athletic forward duo.

We are going to be mid-lottery team next season. DeRozan is gone so that probably drops us into the 30 win category

Really need shooting but AKME just doesn’t care

Matas has a much higher ceiling and a better fit for us.

Play Giddey Coby Pat Matas Drummond

Skillful team no doubt. Just one that opponents will be able to outmaneuver by shooting a high volume of shots that are worth 50% more than the shots most of the Bulls will be shooting

Trading Caruso was the first step to get that pick back. We just need DeMar to sign somewhere else and fully embrace the tank.

He definitely looks like a long project to me. Atleast the 6'10 frame ought to be a size upgrade at PF.

I don't like how stiff our roster is right now. Bad combo with the poor shooting. It's gonna take a while for these players to pan (if they pan out).

We've got 1 player who can barely penetrate an NBA defense (Coby.. unless Zach stays), so I'd definitely say we still have a ballhandling/athleticism problem.

Are you guys saying you think Matas hurts our athleticism? That he adds to this concern?

Relative to size and position he’s one of the best athletes in the draft. It’s one of his biggest positive attributes. He will instantly and significantly upgrade our current athletic profile. We’ve desperately needed a guy with his frame, speed and hops literally for years.

He's the most athletic player on the roster.

Idk if Pat can be included as part of a hyper athletic duo. Going by all those times he got stuffed trying to dunk on people lol

Aw that is sad. I forgot RJ was so close to Bill Walton. He has been best friends with his son for like 20 years.

Now I am sad again..

KC Johnson:

"Make no mistake: Not only is Zach LaVine available for trade, the Bulls are open for business. And with growing buzz that DeMar DeRozan will be elsewhere next season, either via a sign-or-trade or simply walking in unrestricted free agency, the buzzword is no longer competitiveness.

It's Cooper."

How does Chicago need a PG?

Devin Carter pick may hint at Kings push for Lavine. Trade proposals I've seen all include Davion Mitchell, who's very similar to Carter.

Return to Chicago Bulls
