reporters tend to be saying Hartenstein is gone. personally though I'd think the need for OG just got significantly reduced.

I can see Bridges getting time at the 2,... but even then, he and OG overlap a bunch on both ends of the floor. I'm sure Thibs can use both of them on defense,... but I'm not so sure on the other end?

After the comments from the Knicks FO today about matching up with Boston,.... I don't think they are done. I can see Thibs with Bridges at the 3, OG at the 4, using I-Hart as that hub at the 5. For that to happen, they would still have a couple of moves to make?

I think the Wizards won this if they can get a good player at #14 and Brogdon can be utilized for a bit or an asset to eventually be traded.

Deni would've fit us but that's a nice return.

Yeah plus the Wizards got a 2029 first round and 2 second round picks that I didn’t mention.

I’d have been willing to deal Mathurin for Avdija.

Oh no. I consider Mathurin to be more valuable than the trade package they got back.

I couldn’t deal Mathurin plus 3 draft picks for Avdija.

draft grades tend to reward the team that picks highest (Atlanta) and teams with multiple picks (San Antonio).

Yeah,... Just asking if any of the posters here were particularly impressed with any teams choices or moves?...

personally, once we traded our picks for P, I stopped paying attention to the first round names. if the question is who in the East has helped themselves the most, I'd have to say the Knicks with their trade.

https://hoopshype.com/rumors/

Adrian Wojnarowski: BREAKING: Free agent F Paul George has agreed on a four-year, $212 million maximum contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, sources tell ESPN. George committed in a meeting with Sixers officials and returns East to join Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in pursuit of an NBA title. pic.twitter.com/pkCfGu3hyp

George and his agent, Aaron Mintz of CAA, met with a 76ers contingent including owner Josh Harris, president of basketball operations Daryl Morey, GM Elton Brand and Sixers legend Julius Erving in Los Angeles, sources said. The Sixers even brought a front office executive, Peter Dinwiddie, who is a familiar face and friend of George’s from their years together with the Indiana Pacers, sources said

Sixers and Knicks have made big moves trying to catch Celtics. Are we at that level? I doubt it but internal development could surprise.

imo,... I think we are still slightly ahead of Philly? They have PG, Embiid, Maxey,... Eric Gordon, Kelly Oubre,... they still have a bunch of roster spots to fill,... but so far, I like our team both in the short-run & longer term. PG is a good pick up, but he isn't the same PG from a few years ago,... Pascal matches up against him fairly well.

The Knicks,... I'm inclined (at this point) to call it even? Backcourts are both talented and deep,... Brunson & DiVencenzo vs Halliburton & Nembhard (or Sheppard?.. or Mathurin?),... Bridges, & OG, Randall,... Nesmith & Pascal?... Yeah,.. Bridges gets a nod over Nesmith, but I don't think that difference is huge? Pascal has historically matched up well with Randall,... the question will be when he matches up with OG? That will just be fun to watch. Myles vs I-Hart?.... depends on the pace & how the flow of the game is played, but I like the matchup. Both have playoff benches that go 3-5 deep. This is just a great series waiting to happen!

With a normal amount of growth from our team being together for a year, & our younger players being a year older with good coaching,... I still think we are even? But, I don't think anyone is really done yet?.... :D

Buddy wanted to play a different role than the Pacers were offering so maybe he’s happy to go to the Warriors. He bet on himself asking the Pacers for a trade and it cost him salary wise in the end.

As a Pacer fan I’m very happy the direction the Pacers have gone saving money and Buddy didn’t want to play the sharpshooter role on the second unit.

Return to Indiana Pacers
