Yup. Just one will make it all worth it. It's been so long. Let's get it!

Just like nfl these contracts will get more ridiculous. Imagine what Wemby will get.

Exactly. Once some of these extensions kick in he’ll be out of the top 30 by 2025-2026. Hopefully that’s when Jalen will shoot up to the top ten and take his place amongst the elite, or maybe he takes the discount so everyone can eat.

The vibes are immaculate right now.

Brunson I bet taking pay cut.

Is this the richest contract in Knicks history btw?

The All The Smoke pod with Shawn Kemp out recently, Shawn felt dissed when he made less money than Jim McIlvaine... would Randle feel the same way with OG?

With the rotation between Hart, OG and Bridges.. he will always have 2 elite perimeter defenders on the court.

With Randle, Brunson and Bridges... Thibs should always have 2 of those guys on the court.

And we also have DDV, McBride.. team is deep. Please don't get injured.

I believe Casey Smith is supposed to help with that.

He’s clearly capable.

That said, I’d like to see him in a serious Chris Brickley ball handling sessions for the entirety of the offseason.

Randle seems like the type to want the NYC love more than another few million. Either way, he’ll be set once he gets his extension.

I was hoping for around 38mill. per year so I can really live with this deal. There was never any real chance at signing him for 35mill. or less anyways....I mean neither are his agents, nor is OG himself stupid. We went from a 17-14 type team to the best winning percentage in the entire league with him on the roster. We won 16 games in january by an average margin of 24points.....his numbers may not suggest all-star or superstar but his impact is bigger than many top 30 player that net max contracts. To me it is for example an open discussion of who impacts winning more: KAT or OG?
On top of that the leverage was all really on his side. You can't blame him for trying to maximize his earning potential.

I think the Knicks were trying to keep the salary under 40mill. while OG wanted full max...then they compromised on 42mill.

I've been a knick fan since mid 90s....this is by far the best time for being a knick fan---by FAR. We have a team around an offensive monster and superstar in Brunson along with a decent second option in Randle and a great 3rd option in Bridges along with the best 4-10 rotation in the entire league.

This is a dream come true. Thank you Leon and all the FO guys. Thanks Thibs, Thanks JR for starting this. Thank you JB. These guys have already healed some deep rooted Knick-fan-trauma for me.

This FO is the gift that keeps on giving. I criticized Leon early on....Boy was I ever wrong.

Signed Brunson
Signed DD
Signed Hartenstein
Traded for OG and Precious
Traded for Hart
Traded for Bridges

I mean his hit ratio has become borderline ridiculous. If this team stays healthy---Leon will be a knick legend.

Requirements for the DPOY award is to play 65 games, at least 20 minutes per.

It would be nice if he is eligible. I would even go as far as to play OG no more than 30mpg. 25 to 30. Skip back to backs. That way he can play 65 to 70 games and stay healthy for the playoffs. The team is deep as it is.

Need to preserve him for the postseason.

Bron and Duncan never won DPOY. That award is highly scammable.

i think it's likely we'll have to let hartenstein walk and focus on deepening our bench to lower mitch's usage. so sham, you can post again

Return to New York Knicks
