The 56th pick is a joke of a pick with only 58 picks this year. You'd get an undrafted guy two spots later. Future seconds are ok I guess - gives us 3 seconds to trade with the Little or Nurkic contracts

I mean if you wanted to trade down, should have done so with the Knicks or worst case with Utah

Guessing Dunn will be there at 28. Get ready for lots of bricks at summer league.

Kolek, Collier or Furphy may be still there at 28 anyway.

Finally get some draft capital albeit bad late picks ha

Was that actually offered? Lots of rumors this time of year.

All in all I'm fine with the trade. Hopefully Dunn, Flip or Kolek will still be available at #28.

Let the plan take shape - unless the Lakers take him first

I have no problem with Bronny at 56 - but at 28
ehh

So without an early 2nd, that rules out two quality fringe 1st round talent

Good move lol we are so depleted and this draft sucks. Obviously time will tell if we do or don't draft a bust but I think the general level of talent is not very different between the 22nd and 28 picks so getting some seconds is a W.

Also I feel like signing minimum contract players is just as likely to succeed or fail as the draft, except draft picks are controlled for longer and they are younger.

Exactly -- maybe the Jazz really didn't offer that deal

I know we are getting that pick, just meant that 2nd round pick is going to be Bronny.

2026 and 2031 are the seconds being sent by Denver. Guess that 2031 2nd might have some value

We really don't care who were getting if we risked them for late 2nds in the next 7 years

Well, a trade back....28th and 3 2nds.

Good chance we can get Dunn at 28. Not sure if Kolek will make it that far, though no teams really need PGs except Washington, who drafts right before us, but them rebuilding and so young, they might prefer to gamble on Collier if he is there.
