Good chance we can get Dunn at 28. Not sure if Kolek will make it that far, though no teams really need PGs except Washington, who drafts right before us, but them rebuilding and so young, they might prefer to gamble on Collier if he is there.

Washington already took Carrington. I think New York could possibly take Kolek with one of their picks. I do expect them to pick Filipowski with one of their picks though as I think they'll trade Mitch Robinson

They could, but they have McBride behind Brunson, and Bridges can pass well. Then if they keep Randle he distributes too. But yes, they definitely will take a C I think.

I think they may want a shooter too...backup 2 or 3. They have Hart & Divincenzo but Hart's not really a shooter. They may also want some PF depth if they plan on moving Randle. Though I don't know if they plan on playing OG at the 3 or 4 or both and Bridges at the 2 or 3.

I told my wife, right before they announced the pick being moved, that they'd probably trade it. Sometimes I hate being right. Did I jinx us?

Imagine facing Denver in the playoffs and Homes ends up killing us. lol

Whatever happened to not helping teams in the same conference?

2024 #56
2026 Denver 2nd
2028 Boston 2nd
2031 Denver 2nd
2031 Phoenix 2nd

Wonder what that fetches us if paired with the Little contract?

Probably not much, though that's about what Crowder got.

I could actually see the Knicks picking one of Kolek OR collier, and then Dunn back to back.

The irritating thing for me is facilitating Holmes to Denver. Purportedly, we want to contend, but we just helped one of the best teams solve one of their biggest weaknesses - the non-Jokic minutes. Holmes is going to be excellent in Denver.

Denver doesn't need Holmes to be better than the Suns
they are already

Plus Suns cannot think like that. They have to do whats best for their team. And probably getting these draft picks - helps the team more

With the Mikal trade, don't see the Knicks going for a wing. They need a big if they can't re-sign Hartenstein or if they trade Robinson. I expect them to take Filipowski

Could go Kolek / Collier with the other pick though

At least they'll only get one seeing the pick they just made is owed to WAS.

The only thing they've done for the betterment of the team was to sign Allen to an extension. That's it. Acquiring Durant and Beal have been a huge and franchise altering detriment. So long as Jones is GM and Ishbia is owner, we're F*CKED.

I mean if you wanted to trade down, should have done so with the Knicks or worst case with Utah

Except most undrafted guys that look good almost always seem to go elsewhere.

I'm sure GoK is really excited for that one. I guess that one will be tomorrow though.

Not excited at all for the 56th pick! It's very obvious that Jones is doing this with the belief he'll get bronny at 56 and do a favor for Lebron. When all he's really doing is giving away value as he always does in trade for a worse return outcome. He should've done the Utah trade or just drafted Dunn and traded him to New York for the 25th and 38th picks.

I couldn't give a rat's azz about 2 picks 7 years out. I will say However that I agree with Slim that in Jones defense, they probably did their homework and saw that Kolek would slide to 28 and then they could take Kolek at 28 and Bronny at 56. Although bronny will most likely be drafted right at 55 before us anyways.

I'll still be happy with:
28- Kolek and
56- Ulriche Comche at 56.

OR

28- Ryan Dunn and
56- Zyon Pullin.

Exactly -- Suns are getting an extra player tonight - never know who that might be

And a couple more seconds to help down the road or with a trade - it makes sense

I don't trust JJ's drafting skills to even make good picks by so even though we got additional 2nd round picks so I would have preferred taking BPA at 22. We really shot ourselves in the foot by giving away so many draft picks we're forced to trade down and get quantity over quality.
