I truly believe that Knecht will play right away in LA. He would have played here too. McCain doesn't even know anything about Philly...Minus the cheese stakes...He's knows about those.

We will have issues in the playoffs but I’m hoping he’s not too important to our success in the short term after we’ve built the full roster.

There's no way he was the BPA! There's no way he's better than Knecht. I don't know if he's better than Walter, Collier, or a number of players we should have taken over him. I'm being difficult I know. Probably overreacting, but... Franchises are built though the draft. Look at Denver.

Pretty sure Morey is gonna say that he sees a lot of Maxey in McCain. Same personality, size and shooting ability. Bla bla
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Do any of these guys? I'm sure Embiid spent the first two years on crutches drinking Shirley Temples in Manhattan.

I have absolutely no clue on who BPA actually was at #16 so I can be convinced it was a good or bad pick honestly.

I think Knecht was a better pick

but again McCain was also on my list. Yeah he's small and will get targeted on defense....but so would Knecht, who is a 23 year old who had one good year. Feels like when the Mayor got mad about not picking McDermott.

You can play two small guards next to each other for short spurts. We have been playing Maxey next to Melton and Lowry and Pat Bev...and the defense has been "fine". McCain is sturdy and has a strong base and should hold up again in small bursts.

There were worst options is all I am saying

He's going to be cooked by NBA Twitter because they absolutely hate seeing anyone happy in any capacity unless it's their team and only under the context of their team winning. Luckily he seems very confident in himself and emotionally mature.

I mean 15 other teams besides the Sixers passed on him too. Maybe the Sixers messed up but the dude is 23 probably had a lot to do with it and him being a bad defender.

Ladies and Gents this is what Philly toughness looks like in 2024. I'm sorry... He's just not my type of player. I guess that makes me a hater.

If we keep him, at least he should get a ton of opportunity to shoot like **** at summer league and we all have PTSD flashbacks to Fultz/Simmons/Korkmaz days.

He kinda reminded me of Kyle Korver.

Shannon is a nice pick for Minnesota. They're having the best draft of any team IMO.

I'm not a fan of the pick, but that's beyond pathetic

He's not long enough and too unathletic to replace Melton.

Kid cannot play with Maxey. At all.

Now if Morey wants to redeem himself? Trade up for Filipowski. Maybe grab Furphy in the 2nd. Those things would indicate some intelligence.

Drafting McCain indicates none.
