The question is what can they get for one pick and mid salary fillers. I don't expect much

Knecht is a great pick and I expect him to be able to start by ASB...

Reaves for Murray or Smart might make sense now..

Bogdan Bogdanovic and Dejounte Murray from Atlanta is the trade. We might also have to eat Hunter’s contract but that wouldn’t be too bad as I think he could have a role in a more settled system.

Reported that we are not moving Reaves unless its for a true all star

Not moving Reaves for Smart since we then have no guard who is going to attack the rim really

You look to add one of those guys next to Reaves, not move Reaves

Knecht is still a rookie, so lets hold our horses

Well we have 2 picks if we want

Plus swaps, JHS, and Christie

Unsure where JHS and Christie fit here

Need a true positive impact guy alongside Reaves, the rookie, and DLO?/his replacement

I can see Christie maybe since he has the defensive tools, but probably need a guy mroe ready now

I can't see them trading entire draft capital, just not the kind of move this FO would do

JHS is worth a 2nd he's not swinging trade discussions, swaps have uknown value generally

I think they move a top 7-10 protected pick for a some combination of Brooklyn players, maybe Grant/Kuz. The only interesting thing is what will happen with Russell. If he leaves they would have to find another guard with the full MLE

Yup we need to know what happens with Dlo, changes the way you can approach things

Deadline is on Sat for him I think

Really need him to opt in for the salary purposes

Bt if he doesn't and we got the full mle, is Derozan in play?

Not an ideal fit, but a good mid range shooter and should be a super 6th man off the bench

Not sure if I am super interested in Grant, overrated as a defender, expensive, and still doesn't give you that guard who can score by putting pressure on the rim and shooting

Definitely pass on Kuzma

Cam Johnson is my target if its a role guy

If its a "star" I can see why Lavine makes sense. Should cost no real assets and they get salary relief

I still just dont see how DJM is that guy, but would love to be proven wrong

And if we aren;'t giving up Reaves, does Atlanta want a package around our 29 1st (unprotected), 31 1st (somewhat protected), JHS, and some sort of combo of Vincent, Rui, Vando, Dlo?

These are the guys that I'm most certain will be on the Lakers
LeBron, Davis, JHS, Knecht, Christie, Bronny

Not sure who else will be on the Lakers next season but the above guys are just going to be valued more by Lakers than other teams.

Probably not after Bridges and Avdija deals

I can see New Orleans overpaying for Murray. Griffins ass will be on the firing line again after a disappointing end to last season.

They needed to deal Ingram when he had massive value, but were unsure whether or not Zion would fat himself out of he NBA.

Was meaning to post this for a while.

Old man LeBron at #13 for the NPI 2023-2024 season and in the 86th percentile on defense is ludicrous. Top 5 for the age interval of 35-39 is bonkers.

AD at 76th, Curry at 87th.

So, the Knecht kid is a shooter? Well, that's good as they need them. But, obviously no needle moving there. I have to admit that if I was a Lakers fan first and a Lebron fan second and if he signs a 3 year max deal, I'd be a little upset, myself. Especially, if they draft Bronny. At the same time, he really hasn't fallen off that much yet and seems like he's staving off father time in a ridiculous way. It really is too bad they **** up so badly team building after winning a championship.

[Moore] The Kings, Pacers, Hornets, and Lakers are among teams interested in Nets forward Cam Johnson

Would it be a good off season if we traded for Cam Johnson, drafted Knecht, got a stretch 5/somewhat stretch 5 (Olynyk, Reath, Brook Lopez, WCJ etc), and either still have Dlo or was able to replace him with Cp3 (vet min) or Derozan (mle?)

I don't think we will ever see an all star player still in the league while his son is drafted

I don't think Bronny is ready to do anything of value, but I wonder if he may better than JHS soon lol

Still a cool moment, hopefully they share a moment in a game together

I was really hoping Bron would go elsewhere, but seems like this is it

So hopefully the Lakers actually do right by him and push in some chips

I mean in today’s world - fathers and sons sharing an employer is quite frequent tbch (don’t mean to derail this with a whole another convo).

Bronny James is the worst and the most shameful Draft pick in the NBA history. The only reason he was drafted is Lebron James and that wanna be mafioso Rich Paul. They took the joy away from some players who really work hard and have some talent and who were waiting for this moment all of their lives. This is another reason why Jordan is above Lebron, he would have never done crap like this with his talent less son's. This is just another black eye for the NBA.

Jordan's sons couldn't even sniff professional basketball lol...

That said, not sure what MJ has to do with any of this, but great job making it about him!
