This article does a good job of comparing him to Tidjane Salaun, who went to Charlotte in the lotto. Still needs to work on the defense but he’s getting drafted lower for a reason. Lots of potential.

As someone who played organizational basketball for 20 years and was the best or second best shooter on most teams I played on....Pacome's jumpshot looks mechanically pretty perfect, silky smooth, great rhythm, great arc and effortless. I would be highly highly surprised if he is not going to be a really good shooter.

His form and shot are quite fluid for an 18 yo

From doing more research he has 3 level scoring potential but he doesn't really do much defensively. That is a bit concerning. Hopefully they are avenues to improve on that end.

Fraschilla pretty much praises every euro so I take that with a grain of salt.

I saw some film of Dadiet. Clearly a raw prospect. Needs to get stronger, needs defensive awareness, better court vision, etc. Really has a long ways to go. Will need at least 2-3 years in Europe to develop - hopefully against better competition.

If he ever turns into anything though it’s not a bad pick. I don’t know if he’ll ever play for us. Could see him being a trade chip. But hopefully he develops into something useful or else it’s a wasted pick. I get the idea behind the draft and stash. I just think we needed some depth vis the draft and that wasn’t addressed.

Also bring Rokas over or trade his rights. **** or get off the pot.

Rokas is coming to summer league right? That will be his showcase to be a Knick or impress another NBA team. I hope he can fit as a backup PG to Brunson.

Dadiet is one of the youngest players in the draft, still just 18 years old, and will be a draft-and-stash development project for the Knicks. His size and strength at 6-8 along the perimeter is what first stands out when he plays, and he's showing more signs as a poised playmaker off the wing, finishing his season in Germany for Ratiopharm Ulm on a high note.

But it does show potential, maybe he's not ready now but in a few years, with the right development, he might be. And look, while we're good now, the big reason for that is cause Brunson, Randle, Mikal, and DDV are all underpaid. Brunson and Randle both have player options after this season, and Mikal is only under contract for 2 years, so in 2 years we're gonna have to make some decisions

It's a long term play, and I like it. I would prefer he stay overseas for another year (to defer his contract one season), but if he does come over, he should be pretty much exclusively play in the G League, cause he just needs to develop, and I believe that'd be better for him than riding the bench the whole year, especially since Thibs would shorten to a 4-man rotation before letting him play actual minutes.

the first thing he needs to learn how to play some level of defense. If he wants to crack a Thibs rotation. The cross over dribble pull up are nice and all and he certainly has some level of a "bag". But buddy isn't cracking a knicks rotation with the current way he defends.
