Trade up for this kid, 19 year old 6’11 lefty that can shoot and plays small forward

I'll def take the shot on him. He doesn't really play SF tho--has no real handle. And he's not 6'11. He's 6'9.

Yea I was just going off the gleague height I saw. I see 6’11 6’10 6’10.25 but I see now he measured 6’9 barefoot at the combine. Still great size with similar measurements to Bam but 20 pounds lighter and you can develop a handle, I’d try to make him a 3 if I was the Heat and then you have insane size in the frontcourt locked in for the future.

I don’t see why he couldn’t be like a Trey Murphy

He would be a good developmental pick up. Picking up Ware who is also a raw upside player, how many developmental players can the Heat take on who cant really contribute for a playoff team this year?

Trey Murphy is a good comparison or a Rashard Lewis.

He looks solid, yea I’d be happy with him or Tyler Smith

He is a terrible shooter that is why is valued low.

I was shocked we did but I’m happy with Ware. I was almost certain if Knecht was available we’d snag him.

I’m fine with giving them a year or 2 to get comfortable tbh but I feel like Ware will be ready to go from the start at least. I don’t view rookies as contributing much to a championship anyways

WCS had diabetes and was insulin dependent. I I think that is what ultimately slowed him from reaching his potential. But yeah KelEl has the WCS and Tyson Chandler physical attributes.

Except he can shoot, I wouldn’t compare him to either. Dude can pull that thing like Chris Bosh

People at Indiana were frustrated with him because he was so dominant at times, but wouldn’t consistently force the issue for them. That to me is how you know that this dude is like that. When that’s his knock or his question

“He’s so good why doesn’t he just demand the ball all the time and attack” when you hear things like that about a player you know they are nice

I mean he'll definitely be able to contribute to the lakers day one similar to Jaquez, but I don't think he'd be that useful on the Heat outside of maybe being a Duncan or Herro replacement.

Also, he's nearly the same age as Herro, yet he's just now coming out of college. I'd say he's more of a Strus type of ceiling than Herro. I don't feel like that's a mid first round type of pick.

Where would you put him in the rotation? He wouldn't beat out Herro, Duncan or JJJ.

So ... are we trading Herro or Duncan to get to the top of the 2nd round?

What time does this thing start?

I def think it makes sense to try to get him to play more of a wing game, as he hasn't really shown any inclination to doing big man things well (aside from some shotblocking). If he can't develop a handle, I see him as ranging from an off-ball wing to a Channing Frye style big, depending on how well he can positionally defend.

It would definitely be another swing at tools and upside. I'm for it. But, also see good opportunity to get a potential rotation piece that is more ready now with some 2nd round options.

2nd round should be pretty interesting. I'd bet Tyler Smith gets picked before Miami selects.

Wow that's pretty lofty considering Herro and Knecht are 1 year apart age wise and what each of Herro and Knecht were respectively showing as 20 year olds. The fact that Knecht is still a non-factor on pull-up 3 pt shooting and not a defender doesn't give me much hope that he's a better prospect than Herro.

Nah, I don't think so. Gotta think the context of where they're producing. 23 year old averaging 20 as the first option aganist teenagers and future accountants, vs 23 year old averaging 20 as the 2nd or 3rd option aganist the best players in the world.

Detroit Pistons trade up 16 spots in NBA draft second round, take on Wendell Moore Jr.

The Pistons acquired guard Wendell Moore Jr. and the No. 37 pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for the No. 53 pick, according to The Athletic.

Why the hell we couldn't we take on a 2.5 Mil player and move up.

Missed opportunity. Being passive.

Current 3 time MVP was the #41 pick in his draft.

You try to maximize your chances and hope for the best, use your scouting and development system and you never know..

Memphis drafting Edey, and Miami actually drafting a project center leds me to believe the Heat were targeting Edey and that is why they were in talks to move up to Memphis spot.
