I'm ready for Manicure Monday's where everyone comes in with blue or red painted nails.

At this point I’m extremely concerned Morey is incompetent. I hope things look brighter by the 4th of July!

FarBeyondDriven wrote:you'll have very similar situation, with all the pros and cons, of the Cavaliers with their backcourt of Garland and Mitchell. But at least you have MVP candidate Embiid and have cap space. So, while there might have been better paths forward, you might still be in good shape. It's imperative you find a long defender that can play the 2 with either of them so they're not on the floor together for long stretches. Not sure who is available. Maybe see if you can pry Okoro away from CLE?

McCain was picked mid-1st in a weak draft, if he's capable of starting any time soon that's a major success. I didn't study this part of the draft enough to have even a crappy realgm-y opinion, but if he thought McCain was the best chance to get a real NBA contributor, that's a good move. We can worry about those higher-level problems if and when they matter.

McCain's standing reach is 5 inches taller than Sheppard's. That's something.

Jamal Murray is 6'3 without shoes on and 6'6.5 wingspan. I think it's kinda negligible difference between him and McCain. I don't think the W/S discrepancy is really adding to Murray's defensive capabilities.

Dude, keep dropping these nuggets. I’m here for it all week because FA is bound to be depressing.

You know I'll do that and then we'll trade his ass for Ingram.

Jrue was like 6’3 without shoes and 8’4 standing reach too. Derrick White 6’3 and 8’5. McCain’s little smaller but not doomed on defense cuz size.

He might be. Sheppard looks like a classic high-floor type of prospect that might never be more than a 3&D PG, but at the very least a damn good one who makes any team he's on better by his presence. He would never be the third pick in a better draft, but that doesn't take away from what he'll be as a pro.

McCain might have greater upside, but if you ask me which one I'd rather have, it would be Sheppard in a heartbeat.

Wild that some of y'all legit care about him painting his fingernails like that's something guys haven't been doing since the 70s. Who cares.

I just wish he was a couple inches taller + longer but am warming up to the pick.

The issue is we already have that spot taken by Maxey.

You can have one but not two players this small earning considerable minutes in your rotation in todays NBA if you want to win a championship.

McCain is the perfect pick for team building. Elite role player traits who can plug in & add value immediately. He becomes a valuable trade piece in a couple years if he can convince a team that all he needs is a bigger opportunity.

Did not realize that 'zesty' was a negative trait. Live and learn.

His Zest per 36 (zp36) at Duke was .065. Anything over .051 is typically way too zesty to be anything more than a deep bench contributor. For instance Oubre is sitting at .052. Solid starter/great bench piece.

If your team is looking for tik tok videos, sure. If they are trying to win something, rather have someone who isn't losing focus on what's important, basketball.

Sure, undersized combo guards are always going to help win something like a championship. Sure, why not.

Lakers take the right player 1 pick later. Typical Sixers.
