His highlight reel is much more exciting to watch than AJ's solely based on the fact that it's longer than 2-minutes.

I know he's a bit raw but his skillset seems kinda similar to Bobby, wonder if that frees him up to be moved.

Bobby is kinda a luxury asset since be backs up our best player, move Bobby for a Bobby level shooting guard that can move and defend and let's cook

A big with great metrics and he can shoot? Why was he a 2nd round pick?

Smith is not a center, maybe a big wing. Possibly greatly misused by the Ignite. Not tough or physical. Can score.

Love this pick and our draft. We're old, why not fill the bench with cheap, young potential?
Hopefully Giannis bonds with the young guys and can help spur them on. He was young and skinny too, certainly know what it takes.

Looking at more highlights, I see why he modeled parts of his game after Jabari Smith. Some similarities there.

He's not similar to Bobby, other than he can play some 4. Other than that, they are more different. Bobby's strong & can be an offensive hub. Smith is almost entirely an off ball guy. Not much ball skills. But more positionally versatile, vertical, better switch d potential. Small ball 4 instead of 5.

Smith & Livingston are much more similar.

I don't think this has any implications on Bobby's move, unlike a Holmes or even Hall would have. Smith & Bobby have separate uses on the court for the future, let alone for the now.

His 40" vertical is likely the result of him shorting his standing reach. Measured with a shorter standing reach than Marjon. Bucks will know his real standing reach from individual workouts.

I'm drinking the Kool-aid.
Dame/ 2 /Johnson/Livingston
1 / 3 /Green
Midds/ 4 /Jackson
Giannis/ 5 /Smith
Brolo/ 6

We have our main guys and we have our development guys. You aren't going to get win-now guys in this draft that are better than an average vet min. Why waste a pick on a guy when you can just sign a low-end rotational guy. Try trading Bobby/Pat for a top 7 guy, sign a couple Wes Matthews/Jevon Carter/Derrick Jones-type guys. No longer wasting a spot on TA, so we got 6 roster spot to fill in the final 4 rotational spots.

I'm so relieved we didn't take Oso. We didn't add a young center

He's a wing shooter stuck in a lanky PF's body. If he hits, I think he's a great front-court compliment to Center Giannis. Love how silky smooth the jumper is. Unlike dudes like Filipowski and Holmes, I don't see him having trouble getting his shot off vs. NBA athletes. Not a very physical player, which makes you wonder what his defensive ceiling is as well as if he's ever anything more than a pick & pop guy. Good vertical athlete though. Can move his feet pretty well.

Fewer rebounds per game in the G League than Marjon had there, but better shooter.

Being tall and able to shoot at least gives you a path to having some kind of role.

happy with this pick

had him ranked around 26th

6'10" wings who move well and can shoot are always a good bet

and he should be far enough along he can eat some decent regular season minutes if another big gets hurt

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
