The jumper is pure. Good shot prep to get it off quickly, gets it off everywhere on the court, whether it's in the post, spotting up, or popping after setting a screen. Was very productive and efficient on a per minute basis. Definitely more of a SF than a C though but maybe that'll change as he develops physically. Don't love him personally, but he fits the mantra of just taking shooting in the 2nd round and hoping the rest comes around.

We have our main guys and we have our development guys. You aren't going to get win-now guys in this draft that are better than an average vet min. Why waste a pick on a guy when you can just sign a low-end rotational guy. Try trading Bobby/Pat for a top 7 guy, sign a couple Wes Matthews/Jevon Carter/Derrick Jones-type guys. No longer wasting a spot on TA, so we got 6 roster spot to fill in the final 4 rotational spots.

I think for this route to work we need a leap from Green and Jackson to be locked in to the rotation and use the vet min guys to fill out the rest of the bench.

Totally erased Beauchamp from my memory. Being optimistic he can be a 20 mpg next year

Also 2 or 3 years younger than Marjon when he was drafted.

It's crazy that my top two guys went bang-bang before we picked. I did think Mogbo felt like a Masai guy but I can't believe what idiots they are for not trading down considering where he was mocked. This can not be redeemed by him becoming good or by the possibility that this could have backfired.

Anyway, fine with this pick. He's a ways off but he was the 2nd best player on the Ignite last year, imo, an offensive threat in a way that Buzelis' Chicago-bred shooting was not prepared to allow.

I really don't mind adding developmental players to the pipeline. The question is whether they'll ever be useful, and whether any of the guys we added over the past couple years are ready to play, because those are really the guys we need to be able to depend on now.

We shouldn't trade anybody just because we have 'too many youngs'. We should only be dumping guys we don't think will be able to help us. The whole deal with development is that guys develop and then they're no longer 'developmental'. Time for some guys to graduate.

Actually had somewhat efficient shooting numbers, which is extremely rare for an Ignite guy.

1. Not center size length or strength, he's an athletic 4
2. Decent but hardly knockdown shooter yet; he shot worse than Livingston in the same league
3. Little on ball skill
4. Defense is more in theory than practice

Marjon
AJax
Livingston
Johnson
Smith

We clearly as just drafting athletes until we hit. We don’t know if any of the five can play yet but Bucks are betting on strength in numbers.

I left him out by choice, I have way more hope for Jackson and Green to make a leap to rotation guy than I do for Beauchamp

Yeah, I think he probably has an 8’11” reach with a 36” vert.

Ron Swanson wrote:He's a wing shooter stuck in a lanky PF's body. If he hits, I think he's a great front-court compliment to Center Giannis. Love how silky smooth the jumper is. Unlike dudes like Filipowski and Holmes, I don't see him having trouble getting his shot off vs. NBA athletes. Not a very physical player, which makes you wonder what his defensive ceiling is as well as if he's ever anything more than a pick & pop guy. Good vertical athlete though. Can move his feet pretty well.

Re: Flipowski…

Why does Duke have so many guys that I have zero problem with, till I hear them talk and then I’m like “what a (hygiene) bag?” Its a miracle of nature Tyler Herro didn’t go there.
