I think he will get close to 20 million per year, he is a RFA too so Cleveland could just say f it and match.

I assume Reggie and at least one of NSJ/Baily get cut.

For PR purposes alone we should keep Curry.

Sounds like they're all in on the long game.

On another note, did our odds of returning to the playoffs actually go up after the draft? The Bulls and Nets look a lot worse, and the Hawks could blow it up trading away Trae.

Peterson has an excellent relationship with the Nets front office.

I'd love if he makes Cam Johnson our top priority after Miles.

The dude is a flamethrower with
392 on threes / 5.7 attemps for his career.

He has played a big role in the NBA Finals and is already 28.

The spacing with LaMelo, Miller and Cam could work with Mark. They can play 4 out with Miles as the fourth best spacer.

I mean look at the spacing in the starting 5

LaMelo
Miller
Miles
Cam
(Mark)

And look at this bench

Reggie
Mann
Martin
Grant
(Imagine Jalen Smith)

No way NSJ gets cut. Bailey, McGowens, Thor, Jackson, Poku and even Curry would clearly all get cut before Nick, positional logjam or not.

Post draft, with Miles, roster projection.

LaMelo - Micic- Reggie Jackson
Mann - Curry- NSJ
Miller- Martin - Poku
Miles - G. Williams - Salaun
Mark - Nick - (Vet)

Two-Way: Leaky, Amari, KJ Simpson
Cuts: Bertans, Thor, McGowens, Bolden

With how weak our 2 guard rotation looks, I would assume we could go bigger there with Miller/Martin and would mean more mins at the 3 this year for Miles. That would also potentially open more mins for Salaun if he proves worthy.

Call me a bad fan or whatever.

But there is no way we should be aiming for the playoffs next season. We lose our draft pick if we make the playoffs.

While I love the foundation of Melo/Miller/Mark we still clearly need another big foundation piece. Next year draft is loaded with foundational players beyond Flagg. If we could get a top 3 pick we take that next step as a franchise.

Flame me I'm ready.

Detroit traded for Hardaway.

Could have Miles implications That's 16m less cap for the Pistons to work with.

My current unrealistic offseason hope (since Mikal Bridges was already traded) is to S&T Miles to LAC for PG.

Peterson got a better deal from Denver and took on a lot less money to do it.

That's been my pipe dream.

Just throwing this out there because this it just came to my head. One of PG's closest NBA friends is Reggie Jackson who we just traded for. We already know he's a mentor to Miller and they are working out this summer.

I'm just saying it probably means nothing, but just a little hope won't hurt anyone. :D

Under these circumstances I think we add max 3 more guys in FA. One likely being Miles, one a big and maybe a replacement if Reggie is waived.

Quickly just got 5 years 175 million, 35 million a year. That's like 10 to 15 million more than I would have expected he would get. That's bonkers.

No doubt miles and his agent just looked at that number and wrote it on a piece of paper and handed it back to Peterson
