Get a 2nd with top 55 protection on it. Something, anything!

We got cash, we wasted two hours for cash and dump the bust.

maybe I'm wrong about the cash restriction starting already.
IMHO we most likely just got cash from Memphis and Toronto.

We only have 3 roster spots. If I am correct we are bringing back Kyle and Monte. That leaves one spot. The Moore trade likely means a vet minimum who can contribute on day one (I suspect a ring chaser.) So that means we have two guys in mind for two way deals, or we are good being flexible and using them after summer league.

The fact that we passed on drafting anyone at the end of the 2nd round makes me wonder if we have any two-way deals in the works for undrafted guys.

We really shouldn’t be that surprised. How many rookies do you expect this team to carry?

It was pretty obvious that Minnesota would be doing everything that they can to get out of making a pick.
Minnesota took on a HUGE Luxury-Tax burden by signing Rob Dillingham, there was never any question that they would try to use the second round to shave off some money and recoup those costs. Absolutely zero problem with today's draft strategy.

If you look at this way:
We trade #37 and 2031 first for #8 in this year draft it sounds like a solid win for us.

Eh, Connelly is supposed to be some second round draft guru, but sure cash is okay. It was bad asset management, but I get it he had to correct a costly mistake (moore)

I need a world where one of 2024-25's side quests is a contest between Ant and TSJ to see who can get the nastiest throwdown on somebody. Ant set the bar pretty high last year when he posterized John Collins into concussion protocol, but Shannon is the kind of guy that can keep up.

I have no problem with no picks on second day. We already have 2 #1 this year, also have Miller, Jalen Clark (who didn't play a min last year), Minott and Garza. That is 6 players under development, so, really don't see a spot for more projects.

Fine but try to get a future pick or something. Wolves are asset strapped going forward , and need everything they can get.

Moore was a mistake, but not really a costly one. I think it’s a combination of being in the luxury tax and having a significant amount of young players on the roster already.

I meant he cost us Jovic or Nembhard both who I really wanted, still not over it sorry. I don’t wanna shout WTF after a connelly draft pick like that ever again.

No team is trading a future second for a pick in the 50's in a rough draft.

Cam would have been a great fit for the Wolves as a guy who could develop into a volume 3pt shooter, something the team still needs.
I love Cam. The problem is he has no place to play here. We are loaded at his position. Why draft him? He's not going to beat anybody out. Let him go to a team where he has a shot at making it.

I hope not. A few fans will say how cheap ownership is for years.
The second round is starting to feel a lot like the year Kahn kept trading down for cash.
What are we going to do with a pick? We're not going to find a guy who will make the roster. We have to pay him which counts against the cap. Save the cap money. Makes total sense. Celebrate the great Wolves draft. Connelly killed it!!!!
