Kuz isn’t the best player on the team, he isn’t as good as his numbers (but is worth something and needs to go asap), they’ve just announced to the league that everyone who isn’t 20 and under is for sale (suppressing value), and someone needs to explain what the point is of having Kuz and Kispert and Poole and Brogdon past the middle of next week.

There should be no attempt at fielding a real team. They’re trying to tank, so tank, hard. Go after it.

4 wins is demoralizing and teaches these young men bad habits. You want high picks but you don't want to be generationallly bad. Or else you end up like Detroit.

Just a few thoughts:

Last point, fans are perfectly content rooting for a team that wins 43-45 games a year and that may sneak into the second round. They have no stomach for the tank. We've been clamoring for the tank for YEARS, "burn it down! trade everybody!" This is what a tank looks like, stripping it to the studs and starting over. You're getting what you wanted. It's not easy, it's a multi-year process. It took OKC 4 years. Detroit's in Year 5 of their rebuild. You hope it won't take as long but at the very least you're crossing off 2024-2025, and possibly 2025-2026.

This is what a really bad tank looks like. Tanking teams don't take on the worst contract in the league without getting something to do so. Good tanking teams don't give away the 35th pick. Tanking teams don't give up multiple assets to draft a guy you would've gotten at your previous slot. Tanking teams don't give away a 4th team All-NBA level player without getting a 1st back. Tanking teams don't trade their best young asset 2 years early for an "ok" return. Tanking teams don't hold onto their vets when competitive offers were made. Tanking teams don't continuously undervalue their leverage in taking on bad money.

They've made a bunch of C+ at best deals. They really have to nail every one one of their own draft picks or we'll have a new team of hot shots with a 5 year plan
