1. we aren't trying to win next year

miles is 75% gone... the question is, do we get anything in return?

These the same rumors about us taking Knecht?

Our FO has already done something no one expected that wasn't rumored at all about. Not sure why we should assume that won't apply to FA.

i dunno how drafting Salaun would be saying they dont want Miles back. seems like if they didn't want Miles back they would have drafted someone who is ready to play. Salaun isn't even ready for garbage minutes let alone having anything relevant to do with Miles role. Salaun is Miles replacement for after this upcoming contract

We're about to find out if this dude has any actual sources or if he's just reading between the lines with that Jeff Peterson media snippet

They also need to come out like this for trades, so they don't lose leverage

Whatever happens I know all of us are ready to put this behind us. Three off-seasons of this is a lot, it's going to be cathartic for this to be in the rear view mirror.

They spelled Grant Williams wrong. Salaun won't crack the rotation for the next 3 years. Starting lineup is silly.

I think the starting lineup is what they expect it to be long term, not this year. I sure HOPE he is right about all of that. If we do hit on Salaun, and everyone is actually healthy, that can be a seriously dangerous group.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I don't doubt miles is a priority. I do doubt that he's enough of a priority that they let klutch bend them over

Crazy people writing this kid off before he even plays a game smh.

Like people seriously believe he's 3 years away from even making the Hornets roster lol

I'm gonna laugh at these comments just like I laughed at the Miller slander.

New era, New leadership, New hope! 8-)

Miles gets his athleticism back and Salaun develops well that is a tough, big, lengthy and good shooting group.

Raptors fan here.

If Hornets are planning to move on with Bridges.

THinking a S&T with Toronto could make sense. Bridges for Bruce Brown and maybe a few 2nds. Guessing Bridges gets something like 4 years at 100 million.

Talent wise Brown isn't what Bridges is. But he is the stable vet presence that I think the Hornet's lack. I'm sure at some point the team is probably sick of just adding non-stop lottery picks, but instead starting to instill a work hard and winning culture. Brown fits nicely next to LaMelo and Miller.

I think teams can beat this offer.

Fair point. My basis is that Brown is worth a non-lottery future first. Adding maybe another 2 2nds is probably around the right package. I think for a S&T historically that's usually what the opposing team would land.

I think if PJ and Rozier netted us a first we can pretty handily beat this offer, even if we have to wait until the trade deadline. Brown is a negative contract.
