Is this guy rawer than Bruno? Still, I see the athletic gifts; just needs to learn to play professional basketball. What a crazy surprise to end this year’s draft.

Great pickup, I can't believe that no one took a gamble on him earlier

To be fair drafting this low is a little different because these low picks figure to spend a lot of time in the g league

Keyword being ceiling. He’s extremely raw. And this draft generally doesn’t have that many high ceiling guys

This whole 2nd round has Masai Ujiri written all over it. All 3 are his type of players.

18. 6'11. 240. 7'4 wingspan. Great agility and shown the ability to hit the outside shot.

Sounds like a great risk at the 57 pick.

Reed, Edey Chomche were the guys I wanted. Was ready to have a Chomche at 31. 57 is just a steal.

His agent was reportedly telling teams that "Don't take him. If you take him, he's going to China"

He's only 18. He could technically still grow a bit.

Serious question: has a player straight from Africa ever had a good NBA career? My understanding is they typically do a stop at high school/college level before NBA (Mutombo, Siakam, Embiid, Hakeem, etc). I’m wondering if any guys from BAL have made the jump straight to the league (granted BAL is relatively young).

This kid gonna get bigger and stronger :o I see him topping at 7'1 260+ lbs if he hits another late growth spurt. Masai might have drafted the future C of the team, low risk high reward type of player if he pans out.
