As I'm eating dinner before the evening pickleball session I pop open a Trader Joe's Simpler Times 6.2% lager and chuckle to myself thinking how the bocker back page guy should create a Trader Rose edition with all the tasty treats memes that grocer is known for...

Pickleball is something you can do after going drinking? Good to know. I'll confront my pickleballing, healthy sister with this anon.

Honestly, pickleball is something you can do while drinking, my Monday night session is one of the casual ones that is half party half pickleball.

Sure, I have some more serious competitive sessions that isn't party at all even though I have my vape pen in the bag for a bump before I play.

I've been caught by a few people with a look that is mixed with amusement and bemusement because they aren't always pleased with the idea of getting smoked by someone who just smoked.

Suddenly we are deep at PG. Overall #6 player or better in entire League, a D first PG who now looks lethal from 3pts and a pass-first PG who was tops in college ball. And everyone is young/youngish. Not to mention Dvo & Hart as emergency backups.

Meh. I hate how the 51 pick appears twice on the diagram. There should be one appearance and edges/loops.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but these picks are too damn complicated now. Back when I really followed trades and the CBA, you didn't need graphs to explain them.

I don't even bother anymore. I just wait and see we get in the end.

This was a huge win of a draft getting 4 guys who fit our system well as the next crop.

Dadiet will be a 3 level scorer in this league. The kid has a great offensive skill set at a young age. Floor I think is Kelly Oubre Jr and his ceiling is Kris Middleton/Tobias Harris. Just depends on if he will be an efficient starting scorer or an inefficient microwave bench scorer. He has talent and a nice project with 2 top 3 and D wings next to him everyday to learn from.

I think Tyler Kolek will be special. The kid has that dog in him to continue to improve every season. Worse case he is limited and can be a highly efficient spark off the bench like TJ McConnell, best case we have found the next Jalen Brunson. The similarities between Tyler and JB are glaring. There is no one better to mentor the kid than Jalen.

I definitely see the similarities between McCullar and Hart. Both can be Swiss army defenders you can put on 1-4 who can do the glue guy things on the floor for a winner. Jump shot needs work but does enough on the floor to want to keep him in. At worst I think he can be like another former Knick, Quentin Grimes with his defensive impact.

I didn't really see a lot of Hukporti but he fits the mold of a Thibs C perfectly and I expect he will replace Sims in his role as the situational 3rd C. I like the motor and the rebounding. I don't really expect much on the ofensive end.

I posted about this in the other thread also, but yeah things are looking pretty good when only thing I am upset about is that the Knicks didn't get to keep the 51st pick, Melvin Ajinca. I've been following French youth teams and Ajinca really impressed me in the last summer's U19 World Cup, where he lead team France in scoring and was 2nd best scorer in the whole tournament. This same team France also featured #1 Risacher and #2 Sarr, so there was star power in the roster. Oh well..

I don't see how this is remotely the same. Brunson had to earn everything he got. He wasn't some bum that the Knicks signed as a charity case on Rick's behalf. Like he literally had to put in work in college and in Dallas to become who he is.

Brock Aller is a wild man.

Do the Knicks have any 2030 2nd round picks left? Oh well, they have 6 years for Brock to fix that. He'll be trading some 2nd round picks in the 2028 draft for picks in the 2030 draft.

This is probably what bish had to do in order to figure out that initial 15 team trade deal to kick off the offseason in BaF

Pacome Dadiet is my steak of the draft. He has a natural feel offensively. He's not uber-athletic but he's going to be a legit scoring SF in a few years. Solid value on Kolek. They must not think Rokas Jokubaitis isn't coming over if they're taking Kolek there. Looking forward to Summer League and seeing how the bench fills out.

Brunson, Mitch, Hartenstein, and McBride are 2nd round picks from our team. I think one or two of the guys we took yesterday will eventually become solid contributors. I trust this regime.
