I'm more excited for this pick than any of our other picks.

Jakobe is a close second. Very close.

Wonder if he gets stashed overseas. The G League isn’t the best place for developing big men.

lol yeah, his highlights are so good, it makes me extremely curious about his lowlights.

I'm assuming that he's just viewed as far away from being ready for the NBA.

18. 6'11. 240. 7'4 wingspan. Great agility and shown the ability to hit the outside shot.

Sounds like a great risk at the 57 pick.

This kid gonna get bigger and stronger :o I see him topping at 7'1 260+ lbs if he hits another late growth spurt. Masai might have drafted the future C of the team, low risk high reward type of player if he pans out.

This is my point though how does a guy like this fall so far in the draft... he's gotta be precious achiuwa level bad in terms of basketball iq.

Yall know Chomche turns 19 December 30th right?

To say he's young ia underselling it. He turned 18 6 months ago!

With our development team, he's going to have all the resources to develop.

Stash at overseas for what? So his valuable early development is at the mercy of people that don't answer to Raptors and don't particularly care about the guy's long-term development just their wins-and-losses here and now? That's a recipe for disaster and kinda what happened with Bruno Caboclo and lack of proper development during his first year.

The guy needs a lot of hands-on development minutes, A LOT of time invested by both the player and the team. The only way you can ensure that happens is through a G league team we have direct control over.

Or it was known he wanted to come to us and this is a direct result of the giants in Africa work.

Or yes, it's Bruno 2.0

Bruno was drafted as a SF, who had to be molded into a big man, plus he was taken in the first round, he had guaranteed money.

Chomche is a 18 year old big man who is athletic, has great measurements, and has played the position he's going to be developed at. Chomche was also taken in the 2nd round. Big difference.

You can already see as a baby at 18 that he's gonna be one of the stronger players in the league.

If we can develop him right it could be one of the best lane intimidators.

Interestingly enough, Chomche has possibly the highest ceiling of anyone in this draft. Actual star potential.

He's two years away from being two years away though.
