Crazy to think we could still be playing. Maybe we'd have been tested by now if the games weren't so rigged in our favor.

Nuggets don’t get a discounted title despite playing 3 play in teams, Bucks don’t get a discounted title for getting super lucky against the Nets and the size of KD’s shoes (plus injuries), the Lakers don’t get a discounted title (somehow) despite a long break allowing their fragile vets to be healthy and well rested instead of a normal season and playoff run. All those teams it’s just said “injuries are part of the game, you play who’s on the schedule, everyone else had the same circumstances”, but the haters all want to discount ours. I hope they keep it up too! Play top 3 seed regular season ball because I could care less about going balls to wall for the 1 seed, and do even better than 16-3 next playoffs. I hope our guys continue to keep receipts and give zero credence to the narrative our title was easy and help everyone realize we were just really damn good!

Frankly, I have trouble imagining a team coached by Mazzulla NOT going balls to the wall.

Well, maybe in terms of playing time, rest, etc. But otherwise? He wants them to play the right way, 48 minutes every game.

The Lakers one bothers me the most. That roster had a ton of past their prime players like Rondo, Dwight Howard, Avery Bradley...a 35 year old Lebron AND Anthony Davis who was injured before that long break...they benefited immensely from that break, far more than any other team.

The wear and tear of the regular season is part of the process to get a chip. It was just erased, for everyone sure but as stated the Lakers had the biggest benefit.

Imagine if our 2010-2011 roster had that much time off and just had to win 16 games

True, and I think it bothers me the most just because it’s the Lakers and it technically gave them 17 banners. The Nuggets and Bucks are just seen as tough championship teams when in reality they’ve barely been second round teams (or less) most seasons while we get knocked for making it to the ECF almost every year. Just such a weird narrative when we’d be blasted for their “success”. Basically they’re the Sixers most seasons, who get roasted for it.
