He signed a 3 year contract in Australia this Spring. He's coming over to play in the Summer League. There isn't a chance in H#ll (i.e. a 2d Trump administration) that he's an NBA player.

You don't think the beer belly guard has a chance?

They took 3 dudes in the first round.

:o 6 players total and I love it, bring em all in and figure out later which one(s) are worth keeping on the roster, two-way, or G League.

I think you miss under stood. The wiz took 3 dudes that's plenty of rookies plus we are probably gonna grab a UDFA or two and 2 way um. All three players we took were better than anyone in the second round yes there were guys I liked too. but we had a really solid draft.

I misunderstood you to mean that the Pacers had 6 picks, early morning brain fog.
I like our first two picks, we of-course don’t know yet if anyone taken in the 2nd round will be better than any of our guys, but I am excited to see what they show in Summer League.

Says who? We have next to no talent or trade value on our roster....

gambitx777 wrote:...we are probably gonna grab a UDFA or two...

So far not so much.

Crystal ball commentary. How in h@ll would you or anyone know that?

gambitx777 wrote:...but we had a really solid draft.

I don't disagree.

Now, watch what how the R2 guys, the ones we could have added, do in the league.

Ty Rob's college numbers. Hopefully he's on the D.J. Burns diet

Agree 100%. That said, it would have required Portland to cooperate. As I've already pointed out, they gave us a pair of R2 picks in the future & then traded off their 34 & 40 in this year's draft. I would have LOVED to have one of those. I'm sure the subject came up in the trade discussion....

Tyler Robertson's college production was nothing special. He also played against extremely weak levels of competition.

I would have liked to see at least one of Justin Edwards, Jalen Bridges, Keshad Johnson, Trentyn Flowers, Nolan Traore, Reece Beekman, Trey Alexander, and N'Faly Dante.

With at least a couple of those guys, I think it was just a matter of who called first. For Edwards it was Philly, and for Johnson it was Miami.

Still pissed about the Deni trade and totally scratching my head about trading up for George. But I am excited about Carrington. Looks to me like he has a game that will translate well. He just understands how to find pockets in the defense and is really patient for his age. I think his upside is DeRozan and floor is Nick Young.

Yeah I like him, I think he could be like Maxey too. I like all 3 guys, as well as Bilal & Vukcevic. Youth, size and length is the name of the game for this rebuild.

For the record I would have chosen:

2. pf Alexandre Sarr
14. pg Isaiah Collier
26. sg Pacome Dadiet

I also would have traded a few future 2nds to jump into the 2nd and select Nikola Djurisic.

I also agree that you have to draft a guy who was once at the top of the board at one point in IC, let Bub and Isaiah battle it out, perhaps Isiah would end up at PG and Bub SG, I would have taken IC with 26.

Fwiw in their final mock No Ceilings had George at 14 and Carrington at 18.
