This dude needs to spend hours everyday with the Raps shooting coach. A stand still jump shot, even if just a corner 3, will make him a starting caliber player. I pray he can develop that shot, because if he can, he will be very good in an elite role player type of way.

I remember OG not being that great of a shooter coming out of college.

Granted O.G had better shot mechanics than Mogbo. Hopefully the Raptors can develop his shot.

Does he remind anyone else of Quincy Acy?

I am always slow to contribute my thoughts because I like to read, watch tape and see the player speak about the team if I can (unless it's Shead who's my favorite college player and who's family lives 15 minutes away from me).

I really like Mogbo next to Kelly O coming off of the bench in the seasons ahead. Kelly will make up for his lack of shooting while he makes up for Kelly's rebounding. One loves to mix it up on the inside and is a vertical spacing threat while the other is a three point line spacing threat. On top of that, they can both pass. I hope we see these guys together for 15 min a night. Those passes are going to be fun!

The fact that he's been to Toronto and is a friend of Scottie is nice, but the upside and fit for a second rounder makes this pick a winner. He has a legit path to minutes off the bench.

Quincy Acy reminds me of Reggie Evans.

Mogbo reminds me of Precious.

I liked this pick a lot more until I read this thread and found out he was good freinds with Barnes. By that I mean, I hope that didn't really much factor into the decision and its just a bonus.

Geez another Toronto fan confusing Mogbo with Precious.

If PJ Tucker can become a corner three artist, then Mogbo can do it as well. Both played closer to the basket in college but eventually PJ figured out his path to the NBA was being a great 3 and D guy and now he has the best sneaker collection in the world.

Based on what Bobby said it's just a bonus. A lot of NBA player grew up playing against each other when they were younger and made friendships along the way.

I hope I’m wrong, if they genuinely think he can develop a shot and become a 3&d wing stopper, then I understand taking the swing. But if he just ends up a 6 6’ C/PF who can’t shoot, it’ll be disappointing.

Acy and Mogbo both just dunked absolutely everything in college.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

I would say his floor is incredibly high even as a small big man.

His standing reach matches Bam Adebayo's. He's basically an Achiuwa with better ball handling and the vision.
