Maybe Kolek would have been an answer at point and that is a big maybe in my book. He fell to the 2nd round and is a midget in NBA terms.

We ended up with two potentially decent roll players and both could be worthless. Most folks think they were very good picks at where they were drafted.

Damn we did not sign a couple of undrafted PG's. If some do not get their wishes they just give up the ship. What a freaking joke.

My concern is not what we didn't do but what other teams did do.

Yeah its crazy how people think our #22 and 2nd rounder we traded for would do anything for our team. These 2 shouldnt even play a minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go get Muscala , Walker Kessler, Dunn or another PG

Guessing this is how we looking now. Need to add another center/PF/PG in FA.

I would think of Oneale more tward the Sf/pf area.

Not necessarily gone. I believe the Suns retain his early bird rights so they can sign for about $10M. Obviously an overpay but the Suns can keep him if they want to.

Cool. I probably wouldn’t do $10 but I think something like 5 million a year could do it. Not my money and maybe he turns into a tradeable contract.

2 years, $10 million, run it back JO.

That's a good point.

I want him back. I wanted Eric Gordon too. I understand that Eric Gordon out probably is good for him and the Suns but it's tough to get decent veteran players for the minimum.

We will know more about it soon, hopefully we can work something with Okogie.

Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't? I guess we'll find out more soon enough on/ after July 12th. :dontknow:

I hope you're right

I'm pretty confident that in a reasonable amount of time, the people who are low key lambasting Dunn for his weaknesses will come to love this kid as a fan favorite for his great humble personality, driven nature, relentless motor and underlying elite abilities that will swing multiple games for us to wins when our offense struggles at times but he completely locks down the opposition allowing us to still come out with a win!

I believe he'll help us steal around 4-6 additional wins just by virtue of his elite suffocating defense allowing us to better maintain our leads and walk out with wins on rough nights. Ighodaro too on a slightly smaller scale with his elite passing and energy.

So they traded Gobert and got a cheap replacement who is as almost as good as a rim protector but now Jazz are open to trade him.

Why?

Seems like a good kid.

Ainge looking for a small ball type Center or something. Someone a young Horford perhaps.

Exactly!
Great points man. I get that we added Ighodaro who's 6'10 and has a 39 inch vertical!! But he's really not close to a rim protector/ shotblocker for being 6'10 with elite athleticism. I mean he only had a 4% block rate and a 9% rebound rate as a 6'10 frontcourt option.

So we added this kid Oghodaro who clearly isn't a shotblocker or rim protector despite being 6'10 and having elite vertical traits. So with no real rim running SHOTBLOCKING center option on our roster now, an elite Mobile shotblocking center like Kessler would be ideal even at the cost of a lightly protected 2031 1st to be that rim running, elite level shotblocking center with a developing 3 point floor spacing game.

It's funny to me that other people can't really see it yet, but Kessler is basically a younger, somewhat raw version of Brook Lopez who so many covet for what he could do under Budenholzer!

My overall point here I guess is that we SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE AGGRESSIVELY working out a trade framework to acquire Kessler for our backup center option and Ighodaro should be our 3rd rotation 4/5 interchangeable option BUT NOT our expected backup center option first off the bench!!

At least not until he fully buys into utilizing his elite athletic profile to be a reliable shotblocker for us. Please give me Kessler (1st choice) or Nik Richards (2nd option) or Robert Williams (3rd option) in a three team trade for our primary backup center.

We don't need him. Dunn is our stopper now. He's better anyway....probably as bad on offense as well lol.

Saves us a little money too.

He's as good as a Mikal was on defense in his rookie year I'll bet. Ppl here will love this kid. Especially after his 1st few steal/break away dunks.

There are 15 roster spots. Too many of them are available and Okogie is good enough to be our 11th, 12th man on next year's roster.

For sure I prefer him over Roddy.

Okogie is not worth more than the minimum on this team.

I would rather take a flyer on another rookie.

Is the idea signing Okogie for more money to potentially trade him combined with another player? Or can the Suns not combine his salary, let's say with Nurkic at the trade deadline to get someone like Brook Lopez or Jakob Poeltl?

We can't combine him with anyone in a trade due to the 2nd apron rules. I really want to see Dunn get his minutes.

We need a PG and Big more than Okogie.

Poeltl
Jarrett Allen
Wendell Carter JR
Hartenstein (Does new york have enough money for him?)
Valanciunas

Would be perfect. Wonder if we can trade Nurkic, Little, future picks for one of them

What about PG? Who can we get out there?
Tyus Jones? <----if we can somehow get him, he is perfect. Kris DUnn?
