Called it from day one when the other fan bases were prematurely ejaculating over what others were speculating over the potential penalties would be. A reminder, the Raptors are the ones who wanted the league to arbitrate and the Knicks are the ones that want to drags this through the courts. That should tell you by itself what the expected results are going to be.

Once again, read between the lines. Is there a reasonable scenario where Adam Silver can't arbitrate a league matter? By all accounts, there was nothing abnormal on what happened and the league will dismiss this so fast, Dolan won't have time to drop to floor. By the time he starts kicking and screaming, Masai would be back in Toronto.

Arbitration is binding. I think most people here are missing that part. Meaning if the Knicks doesn't like the result, they can't sue the Raptors again in court. Another way to look at this is, the judge pretty much already smacked down the Knicks: Only come to us if the arbitration agreement you sign can't resolve the matter. Understand, lots of businesses in the US have arbitration agreements embedded into terms of use/services, forcing consumers into a difficult spot. No judge in their right mind would have allowed such a dangerous precedence to be set.

Honestly, if Dolan isn't the owner of a large media empire, what he tried to pull off should have resulted in huge penalties. By all reports, the rest of league can't stand the guy, and probably the only thing keeping the other owners from voting him out of ownership Ala Donald Sterling is the revenue his media empire brings in.

Who knows how the rest of the Knicks FO feels about the suit. For all we know Rose could think that Dolan is an idiot for attempting to sue the Raptors. Regardless though, at the end of the day these guys are business executives who should for the most part have relatively high EQ's that allows them to compartmentalize. The lawsuit fundamentally does not hamper their ability to negotiate a trade for OG in good faith.

You're forgetting one important factor. Dolan got his fortune the modern way: Inherited from a rich daddy. He's the definition of a spoiled rich kid who haven't earned a damn thing in his lifetime while simultaneously he has convinced himself how awesome he is. Guess which year Dolan inherited MSG family of companies. Hint: Coincides with the moment where the Knicks and Rangers became the laughing stock of the league.

I know he's an annoying guy to put it mildly but I don't think he's done anything as egregious as Sterling's racist comments

He was sued for sexual assault in January. Not sure where things stand at this point.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

I didn't know till reading that, or an article linked within, that Dolan has controlling interest in that Sphere place in Vegas, as well as Knicks and Rangers.
