Agencies control players which means they also control rosters. If you twist an agency, they will twist back. That’s why nobody dared to draft Bronny. Professional anything including sports is all about connections.

Langdon is a Tellem hire. He got Holland instead of Buzelis and Buzelis is a Tellem guy. Tellem is a massive agency, Kobe Bryant’s agent was Tellem, have some respect.

Pistons fans are so devastated it’s unbelievable.

So with all of the favors we've done Arn and his family, when are we going to see that returned? When is the big Tellem free agent we want going to turn down a bunch of other offers to come here instead?

The Bronny James stuff is totally different. #1, no other team actually wanted Bronny James because he's not a top-60 player in this class. If anyone besides the Lakers took him it would be to try to hold the Lakers' ransom. #2, if Rich Paul got Lebron to sign here I would happily do Lebron a favor by punting the 55th pick on his son lol. That's how this is supposed to work. It's not just a one way street of the Pistons doing favors and never having it returned.

2015. This team has been atrocious since Tellem got here. How many guys in the front office are still here from then? I have not seen the power that he wields benefit this team in any positive way, but I've seen a lot of positive benefits for his friends and family members. If we really wanted Sirvydas or Klintman, shouldn't his agent have been forcing them down to the picks we were already at the way other agents (Ala Rich Paul) do? Why did we have to give up 3 2nds to go up and get Sirvydas (one pick above actual NBA player Daniel Gafford btw)?

I don’t really have answers to any of this. Same can be said about Jeff Swartz and how he’s not getting Cade any player to help him out while we have cap space. Personally I think the team is desperate for veteran leadership and we haven’t had any of that since Derrick Rose (Tellem guy). My post’s point wasn’t to defend Tellem, it was to point out that these agencies have a larger influence than fans think they do and they run the day to day negotiations. We haven’t had good negotiations, not sure how you can with a manager that has a speech impediment. Maybe Langdon can help with Lindsey, so far they were able to get Hardaway which was a trade we needed. Getting Naji is another connection. Need one more. If we get a guy like Valanciunas, I wanna hear how Tellem was able to get Langdon to make all these deals happen. But of course, Pistons fans are so devastated that they won’t be able to appreciate real NBA talent on the team.
