We should be able to once the new league year starts, provided we make a move to get under. We'd also have to stay under

What is a "difference making 3&d wing"? I feel like most guys they talk about as 3&d are inconsequential on at least half that equation and are just place-keepers. Pels aren't moving Jones or Murphy, Nuggets aren't moving KCP. I'm not moving Brook and that pick unless I'm getting somebody back who give us around 30 very good minutes per game for at least the next 3 years, whatever type of player they are.

I also don't think we can trade that pick.

The problem is we have zero leverage and everyone knows it. The Bucks need to move Brook to add a wing and it’s turned Brook into a distressed asset.

That tweet reads to me as the Spurs wanting a first in a Keldon Johnson trade. Lines up with their draft day trade.

With Detroit declining Fournier option as expected and having oodles of cap room, what would need to be added where in a deal of Lopez and Pat C for Isiah Stewart?

NO needs a center and Ingram seems to be on the out. What is the third team to make it work for us?

Brown can't do anything our own guys can do, and that doesn't fix our apron issues. Keep looking

Sure he can. He defends 1-3 and has proven he can be a Top-6 player on a championship roster. If OKC can kick in some minor draft assets (a future 1st or 2nds) then all the better. At this point you guys have to be realistic about Brook’s trade value. That’s a solid deal and still gives you flexibility to flip Bobby plus draft assets at the deadline for another starter level player.

1. We currently cannot trade Lopez with any other player.
2. How does losing Lopez and adding Stewart make us more of a title contender?

So are we punting this season then? As old as Brook is, he's still a very impactful rim defender and also lessens the wear and tear on GA. Who are you replacing him with in that trade scenario?

Dallas would definitely like Ingram. ESPN trade machine has the following successful:

Gafford and Green to Milwaukee from Dallas
Ingram to Dallas
Lopez and Connaughton to NO and Kleber to No.

That’s some hyperbole. I’ve long defended Brook on this board, but you’re not punting the season by swapping him for a starting 2-guard. Giannis + Bobby + minimum big was always gonna have to be the front court plan at some point. And again, use Bobby plus minor assets for a better fit Center if you have to.

How about Robert Williams and Jerami Grant for Lopez Connaughton and whatever pick(s) are necessary?

I think Grant alone is too expensive for us unless we get under the second apron by sending Portis somewhere

Bruce Brown is closer to Pat Connaughton than he is an “impact making 3&D” guy, trading Brook for him would be a monumental mistake that opens up a huge hole on the inside that Bobby Portis and Tyler Smith sure af aren’t going to fill. We got young wings, if they don’t hit then fire Horst for his gross incompetence. Don’t let this idiot ruin the team and what chemistry it has left. Giannis can’t be our only interior defense or rim protection.

Fire Horst.

Yeah, we are a better team throwing Green or AJJ out there and keeping Brook, or trading Bobby for best guard we can get than we are trading Lopez for Brown.

It worked on espn trade checker (whether that means anything or not idk but it’s successful there).

C'mon guys lets do Horst's job ... Find a Team that has a Player payed under 23M to send Brook there and get under the 2nd apron ...

Brook Lopez to the Spurs for Keldon Johnson, 2025 1st (ATL) , 2x 2025 2nds (NOP, CHI) seems OK to me ... No ?
The Spurs have 38 picks available we could ask for more if they want Brook mentoring Wemby

Brook 23M - Keldon 19M-17.5-17.5

36 year old Pat Bev gives you the same or honestly better production than Bruce Brown, that guy straight up kinda sucks. Not a good shooter, not a creator, not even that good of a defender, definitely not a guy you can put on the Jays. Brown is a guy you sign on the cheap and might be happy with, not one you pay big money too and hope his rep from a few years ago comes back. If Marjon, AJJ, AJG all suck more than him then we have a major problem.

Sure, then trade Bobby. Point is, one of him or Brook needs to go. And all this “just play Andre and AJ Green” stuff sounds a hell of a lot like last offseason when we tried to get ourselves hyped about “Marjon Swolechamp” and some guys named Omari Moore and Jazian Gortman. You need a reliable, proven wing/guard beyond Dame and Khris that you know is a 16-game player.
