Gambo has spoken from across the pond in Europe. I think I would be okay with Morris and Dunn. Not Holiday. These are the types of free agents the Suns have with their lux tax. If the Rockets really want Durant - trade him now.

This fool said Aaron Holiday, like that **** would be good!!!

beat me to it!

Interesting to see how many years are fully guaranteed.

I thought he would get a little bit more as the Suns didn't have many options

Is there a chance in hell that Isiah Thomas is considered to stay by us?

Fair contract, very good value for the Suns. He is a known commodity around the league. Great move by James Jones.

Now it's gonna be interesting if we can get any of Okogie or Bol Bol back to the team.

I doubt it. I expect him and Thad Young to not be considered for our new roster.

Monte Morris or Aaron Holiday...not exciting names but we need to remember that they have to sing for the minimum.

Who can be better than them for the minimum? I don't think the FO wants a superveteran player like Lowry or CP3, they said that want to be younger and more athletic.

Maybe this is the last year before rebuild?

This indicates to me
Little will be traded for expiring this year or salary dumped into space by next offseason

Roddy last year if not cut

Man if GS gets Paul George they will be tough. It would be hard to see us top 5 or 6 unless everyone was healthy all year and other teams had health issues.

The Clippers would probably fall out though.

But you'd probably have rankings something like this:

OKC
Minnesota
Denver
Dallas
GS
Memphis
New Orleans
Houston
Sacramento

We'd probably be somewhere in that bottom 3-5 group.

Then you have the Lakers who played well against us. Who knows what the Clippers do.

So is Paul doing this so he can be included in the S&T and thereby get his $30m paycheck

I don't know. I didn't look at their cap. Maybe. I was originally thinking so they could re-sign him after they signed George, but maybe that doesn't make sense because I think they are over the cap anyway, and if he has a huge cap hold, that would prevent him from signing.

Though you can't trade him for equal value just because of a cap hold. So they'd have to pick up the option and then trade him and the Clips would have to be willing to pay him $30 million, though maybe GS would give them a few picks....they will want to maximize what's left of Curry and Draymond's careers. George is a PERFECT player for them.

It’s not my money so I don’t care about that

It’s the roster and flexibility of why I think moving Durant now makes sense

We can't rebuild tho.
We'll just need to be smart and stay "competitive" until we get our picks back.
It was an all-in move and we can't move back now.

Surprised Royce’s contract wasn’t set up to match the MLE. Being under that amount greatly reduced the amount of players he could be traded for in the future. Other than that, this is a very team friendly contract.

Fair contract for RO. Last three playoffs have been underwhelming, so larger contract would've been an overpay.

I saw it on twitter and forgot who posted it but Damien Lee opted out of his contract
Eubanks, Gordon and Lee - all not back

Warriors are not getting Paul George - he opted out. My guess - headed to Philly

Warriors and Suns could be on the outside looking in with little roster flexibility. Warriors might have a bit more with Paul off the books - they aren't getting PG13

Good glue guy - but oh well... with Gordon, might have been nice to have a shooter but not worried about this guy
