Nobody has any idea what’s going on
LOL - seriously, no clue here either.
A quick aside, talking to my friend earlier -- I was saying how I really find it objectionable that a team like the Celtics didn't have no restrictions and stupid cap "aprons" when they built their team and put the finishing touches on it, right? Yet now we're finally close to taking a major leap and we can't even bring back our starting 5, a guy that we've had in house for a couple of years now. Celtics built their team already with all these top-heavy contracts they have.... Whatever. right? Just will make it that much more sweeter when we overtake their punk asses and go to the Finals.
Back to reality -- so yeah, I get that next to no one knows how much we have available to spend now, but do me a favor -- give me your 1 -3 as far as best fit and importance to secure on these 3, should Hartenstein really be a goner:
Jalen Smith
Goga Bitadze
Precious Achiuwa
I mean I'm sure there could be other options, but of these 3, I think that's my order in terms of who I'd want along with best fit/highest impact potential/talent level.
Anyone have a number for these 3, what would get it done?
For Jalen Smith -- suppose we offer the same as Indiana (assuming they even want him back) -- what if we also offered him the starting C gig? Would that be enough to entice him (or Bitadze) to come here? I could be wrong but I don't think Indiana or Orlando could offer either guy a starting spot..
Goga is the best option if Isaiah leaves, unless somebody else comes out of nowhere.
He’s not quite as good as Isaiah, but he’s close. Has comparable per minute numbers and size. Defense is his strength, and he can pass too. He’d fit right in sharing C duties with Mitch.
Jalen Smith and Precious are tweeners, and definitely not starting centers if Mitch gets hurt. Decent bench players but not who Id look at.
