That's more so because CJ is the 30m vet.

CJ got abused by OKC on both ends, Daniels literally couldn't be any worse if not for the veteran respect angle & Greens affinity. He made no adjustments in that series to lay the blame at the feet of Daniels not playing. Jonas got run in part because OKC picked apart CJ's perimeter defense when Jonas was one of NO's main offensive options.

No, it was more because we needed CJ for offense. His defense is abysmal, but with Zion out and Dort locking down BI, there needed to be a 2nd threat. At this point in his career, Daniels is a huge minus on the offensive end. He cannot shoot the 3 and has no touch at the rim. He should get better with additional playing time in Atlanta. He is an excellent defender.

Game 1 - 20pts on 22 FGA's (2-9) from 3
Game 2 - 15pts on 15 FGA's (1-5) from 3
Game 3 - 16pts on 22 FGA's (2-8) from 3
Game 4 - 20pts on 16 FGA's (2-7) from 3

71pts on 75 attempts, 7-29 from 3

What offense? 41% FG, 24% from 3 on volume. Combined with being abused defensively.

Jonas 58pts on 42 attempts 53% FG, run off court because of CJ's point of attack defense You didn't need his offense enough to put a better point of attack defender on court to compensate defensively. No, rim protection for CJ's inefficiency.

CJ needed 33 more attempts to put up 13 more points than Jonas. Yet Greens goal was to compensate CJ with rim protection. Not Jonas with a POA defender.

I think CJ stinks. He should go for whatever the Pels can get for him. At worst he should come off the bench. Ingram probably needs to go also just because of fit and $$$.

I'm a big Dyson fan and his defense is great. He's definitely not in any way a primary or secondary creator though. That'll never happen. He is smart and crafty, or at least there are hints of it. He can work well in a system. The big elephant in the room is though, his offense is still just very, very far away. Like someone said, until he develops a reliable 3pt shot, it doesn't exist. Teams at times just ignore him completely when they are on defense and he can't do anything to punish them. Anyway, he's very young and I'm sad to see him go, but happy for the return.

I think CJ & the team would have been better if Green was better. He treated CJ like he did Temple. CJ got to much minutes & trust from Green to better & more impactful options. If for no other reason this is why I want him traded. That or find a coach that can manage veterans.

NO's never needed Daniels to ne a primary or secondary creator with Jonas, ZIon & BI. The reason that lineup with him worked was because he reduced offensive overlap & brought an elite POA defender to 2 60% offensive players.

I would have preferred to keep Daniels but it's clear NO's didn't want to be patient. Usually leads to poor decision making.

Herb is not coming out the starting lineup. Leaving BI out the conversation completely. To get Murphy in the lineup, NO's have to either trade CJ or bring him off the bench & block the cheaper Hawkins development. If CJ is not willing to come off the bench, I want them to trade him, yesterday.

Best option is to find a team looking to absorb salary for picks. Like the Detroit Stewart, cap space for CJ, FRP.

CJ doesn't make sense for Detroit now that we have THJ. Ingram still would.

Dejounte Murray must be one of the most overrated players right now

Oh wow lol. I guess get it in while you can. DJ’s played only five games back from a fractured wrist. Without three starters. Per 36 he’s been 15.2, 7.6, 7.2 and 2.8 steals. If you think he ends up with only a 27% FG percentage as the season moves along, good luck. I do believe Dyson’s percentages end right where they are.
