Oh no, the Lakers drafted Bronny and ruined the very high chance of getting a star with the 55th pick.

Just really really weird behavior from some people.

Re: The LeBron James- 23-24 NBA Playoffs & Off-Season Thread -(NO PERSONAL ATTACKS & BAITING)
So the Pels got Dejounte for 2 1sts, Nance Jr (filler basically), and Dyson Daniels (who hasnt been great, but a very solid defender)
I like that the market isn't as insane as the Bridges deal
Hoping Dlo opts in, we will know tomorrow
Dlo, JHS, 2 1sts, swaps are easily on the table and should be able to get us 1-2 solid pieces
Salary filler: Vincent, Vando?
And then there is Rui who should have some value
Were not moving Reaves unless its for a bona fide all star
Bron gona take a pay cut to get bigger mle depending on other moves? Could be useful and I could see it if he really wants to prove hes about winning (but Lakers need to also show they are all in or at least pushing in more chips)

Of course not, he would have to take about 15M per year cut for them to have a FMLE, unless they can significally shade salary in a trade

This is such a missed opportunity imo. Murray was a rare blend of reasonable contract, offensive creation and past history of playing good defense. The fact that he went for a very attainable price makes it worse that we weren’t even in the bidding.

You mean very predictable behavior from people.

Meh, he graded out poorly as a 3 point shooter and his defense has been a negative the last couple of years
We needed Dlo to opt in for that or would have had to move either Rui and assets
Or if it was Vando, Vincent, and JHS, then we would have needed to give up 2 1sts and 1-2 swaps
I am ok not blowing the load on DJM

We are almost right at the 2nd apron if Bron takes the max, we will either lose Christie or be a 2nd apron team (cant allow the latter to happen)

Bron needs to take a paycut if he is serious about winning. If he isn't serious about winning, then we will just have less talent and he could have helped out. Whats the value of another 5-10m a year for a guy who is a billionaire honestly?
But I assume we will see some trades for us within the next few days
This roster is also pretty full, so we need a couple of consolidated moves if we want some new guys in

I believe it when I see it. 2nd apron should not worry All NBA caliber players. Lakers have a GM that's his job to manage finances

[Haynes] With LeBron James opting out to re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, the superstar is considering opening up a pathway for the team to obtain the full midlevel exception for the right targets, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport.
The new rules got a lot of teams by surprise and you know we don't have a top tier front office if were being real
Looking around at FA options, not a lot of good bigs. Goga would be nice off the bench, but I dont see how he plays with AD
Unless Wood has a turnaround year and is that guy?
Leads me to think trading for a big is our best bet

So PG opts out....staying with LAC, ORL, PHI, or SA?
Thoughts on the Klay rumors.....?
He rates out as a meh to horrible defender now, but if its for the mle and you can move DLO, you do it
Dlo+JHS+2nds for WCJ?
Dlo for a defensive minded guard and get rid of Vincent?
Dlo for a wing?

Klay alone, is whatever. But if they can get him with the MLE plus get some kind of big for DLO it gets very interesting.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if Lebron takes a cut. He needs to whether or not he realises. It all started at that 2013 lock out where the players association got bent over. Lebron and players at the time vowed to never make sacrifices for the billlionaires but this time should be different because it's going to affect his title chances plus the wisdom of giving his son a roster spot will be even more scrutinized if the team sucks.

Good rebuttal for those who claim Bronny's 6.1'5" barefoot height hurts his impact potential.

I hope that Valanciunas is not a FMLE guy, that would be a disaster
