How much did we pay for the 57th pick?

Not having direct control over Caboclo's development in the first year was the thing that Ujiri himself pointed out as reason for failure and the whole f'ing reason 905 exists in the first place. Why have a development league/team if you are afraid to actually develop someone? Doubt he'll make the same mistake. You can't be too much of a coward to get your hands dirty just because "clock starts to tick". F it. Do it.

Exactly, it makes no fking sense to not bring him over and have him learn the system with the 905 staff. The whole point of having your own G league team is to develop raw talents like him.

He's a lot more raw than Bruno who at least was playing in the top league in Brazil.

Your out of your mind.

Bruno's first summer league he looked like a deer in headlights. Got dunked on and cried on the bench.

Chomche already looks like he has way better feel for the game, great feet work and natural touch around the rim.

Chomche is way ahead of Bruno its not even close.

Actually watching him playing scrimmages at the combine...he does not look out of place at all. NBA Africa Academy seems a level above whatever league Bruno played in, maybe because the academy is NBA sanctioned and operated. We don't realize it but it has become a feeder system for NCAA as well. There are several prospects that got recruited to NCAA programs. For example...keep an eye out for Khaman Maluach, a 7'2 Sudanese dude who is going from NBA Africa Academy to Duke this fall. He might be a lottery pick next summer. Maluach moves very smoothly...reminds me of Chet Holmgren.

Brazil's pro league is levels above the BAL.

Bruno might not have been mature mentally but his skill level was nowhere near this raw.

Nobody said legit prospects can't come from this program, they just probably aren't going to be ready for something like the G League.

Bruno didn't have Chomche's fight, athleticism or tenacity. Also, when he was drafted he didn't really play on his senior team. He was mostly playing on the feeder team.

I'm probably the biggest Bruno fan on this board and I followed his development really closely. Chomche seems more ready mentally and physically.

Bruno obviously wasn't ready either. Even if you think he's more ready than Bruno which I don't, that still doesn't mean he's ready to play in the G League. How many minutes do you think he's ready to play right now?

I'm sure he'd get at least 20 minutes a game with the 905.

Bruno and Chomche who were more “raw” is the point here. What we should be emphasizing is their ability to adapt the NBA culture, lifestyle and the eagerness to improve. If Chomche has those intangibles he will become a NBA player one day. We had seen it with Banton who were rumoured clubbing every night. Over the years he showed no signs of improvement, and probably has his foot out of the league very soon.

I don't see any official reports that the trade has been finalized yet. Maybe by tomorrow or Tuesday?

In the video it sounds like they're saying 'chump change'. I was wondering who is chump change - such disrespect.
When Chuck Norris was born the doc said "Congratulations, its a man"
