Free agency announcements will start in about an hour and a half from now right? Like the Woj bombs and tweets start flying midnight ET time I think it is?

But with Golden State apparently willing to trade Kuminga for George I’m wondering what our very best offer for him would be. Maybe something like the following which Spotrac’s trade machine says is legal (2 trades technically):

Bucks trade: Khris, Bobby, protected 2031 first
Warriors trade: CP3, Kuminga

Cut Paul. Use tpmle. 2031 first even with protections is dicey part of deal.

But if Kuminga could be a long term Shawn Marion for us goddamn — of course probably way too good to be true.

Why are we taking significantly less for Middleton and Bobby than they're offering for PG13?

I think it starts at 5pm Eastern Time. So, in about 7ish hours.

With 3 open roster spots and the assumption that one if not both of Thanasis and Pat Bev will be on the roster, I think there are moves coming to open up another spot or two. There’s absolutely no way a Horst-Doc roster is content with this young-heavy bench and lack of defense in the front line (sans Giannis and Brook and sometimes Khris).

My guess is that by tonight, we get a Kris Dunn, Buddy Hield, Eric Gordon, etc. A guard that we can promise a lot of playing time and opportunity to get a bigger contract next offseason a-la Beasley. I also think there’s a good chance we resign Bev.

Bucks in - Keegan Murray and Keon Ellis

Kings in - Brook Lopez and 2031 FRP

Is this a good use of the 2031 pick? Saves us 12m and gives us 2 young promising players while the Kings get a needle mover and a great fit next to Sabonis. I’d like to hope if we are gonna trade that pick, it’s for something like this at least. Idk if this is the exact move to make, but a long these lines I suppose.

I took a maximalist position of what we theoretically might offer if it’s actually possible Kuminga could be available.

Middleton also wouldn’t require a 4 year max contract like PG13 and is the opposite of a playoff choke artist.

I think they need to be the ones adding in a pick, not us. Or add in a Pat for Moody swap and I'm good with addibg if we need to

Interesting addition to the new CBA. Teams with the full MLE can not only use it to sign a FA, they can also use it as a trade exception.

I think this makes moving Patty C much easier.

I think we’re going to stand pat and that will be disappointing.

Can’t see CP3 ever wanting to play for Doc again.

Man they are a talented team, they just lack the Elite Superstar. They could pull a knicks and go for the biggest fish available at some point. I cant see them trading Keegan Murray unless they get a top end superstar in the deal

So we really need to shed 6M to get beneath the 2nd apron if we fill all roster spots?

As has been discussed, your only options are moving Patty C, Brook, and/or Bobby if you want some flexibility to make moves.

I think there's little if any action from us at the start. We only have minimums to offer & few players are going to accept that straight away. 'Also, it may well take other teams striking out on FA's to fallback on our players in a trade.

Show him episode 5 of Clipped. Watched it last night. Doc is cast as the hero of the story. CP3 loves him in that series. 8-)

We’re desparate for space under the 2nd apron to improve the roster elsewhere. Love Pat, but at some point even DiCaprio had to be pushed off the Titanic.

Royce O'Neale just got 4/$44 million. He's trash. Someone will scoop up Pat. Mediocre teams want veteran leaders.
