Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 3
5$ million looks like the exact amount not too little, not too much.
That also probably means Bball is gone

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 3
This is an agreement not signed not signed yet so they might bring him in with one of their exceptions. Who knows I’m not a cap expert. I don’t think they’d give him the money if he cut in their ability to pursue a KCP or Klay or another big name to pair with PG. they can wait til they sign everyone else for Drummond to actually sign the deal on paper nd figure it out after.

Totally fine with $5 for a capable backup C.

Bodner thinks they might trade him based on the amount Drummond got

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 3
Why would the Nuggets and Westbrook have interest in each other, that sounds like one of the most stupid pairings i have heard i a while.
Not that i'm complaining, by all means do it

U have to. Can’t pay 7.7 mil for a 3rd string center. Cut or trade him. Probably will trade him for a SG or PF after we used up our cap.

I’ll take the 2 way player for $50m, Alex…
George isn't that great on defense anymore, nowhere near where he was in his early career. And Harden facilitates the offense much more. I don't really want either one of them, although at this stage our options seem to be very limited. But making it seem as if PG for $50+M/ year is a no-brainer over Harden at $35, with George getting more years than Harden... I just don't think that it's the obvoius point you seem to think it is.

I think they won’t waive him until signings are official. It would be interesting to hear if he talks to other teams.
Ainge bailed us out. I think the Sixers were looking to offer a three year deal for less money, but Reed got the bigger offer from Utah. He made out better than playing on the option year though. Ultimately, Paul has to take every guaranteed dollar he can get. He will only have so many years to set himself up financially.

Right. I've rooted a lot of Reed and still think he has some chance at the 4 if anyone will play him there. But with Drummond here that has to be writing on the wall.

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 3
Well, George + KCP is probably out the window now.
You have $8-9 mil left if you max PG.

2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:
Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Barlow/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 3
Yeah this probably means BBall traded, maybe with picks for another starter to go w/Jo, Max and PG. Maybe DFS like someone suggested.

I’m not clear on how it works regarding when he counts against the cap and for how much.

Not sure if we prioritize a PF or a SG with that remaining cap. We need both.
