It's the same.

They just announced Scottie's as 270M because he gets that if he makes an All-NBA team.

No one expects Cade to make an All-NBA team lol

Even if Scottie makes more money then Cade its because he has produced WAY more than Cade and deserves to be paid for it.

In terms of strictly accomplishments Scottie is in another league compared to any body else from that 21 class.

Assumed it was just not including unlikely bonuses but threw me off...

Or maybe Cade gets 25% regardless of making all NBA or not ?

Anyway I still think it’s unlikely that Barnes make one of the three all nba teams . And if he does , pretty sure the FO will be please to give him the extra 5%.

Obviously best case scenario for the Raps is ALL NBA not next season but the one after that

I am still curious about Quickley’s structure (flat , rising ), Team option / player option , likely / unlikely bonuses included

I assume at 35M AAV that a portion is unlikely bonuses but we shall see

He technically cannot be signed until the 6th, so probably will become official then.

But it also means we’re missing out on difference-making talent in the 2025 draft. I’m really hoping he doesn’t qualify for that super max.

That's the toss up, either he takes a massive leap into a 1a type of player, and we can probably live missing out on that draft pick, or he doesnt and we save money + pick. Im fine with either one tbh. Actually if anything, I'd prefer the former, since getting a 1a player is the hardest thing to get.

Been reading through this thread.

Fans getting worried that he could make All NBA in his 4th season so he doesn't get the super rookie max is legit ludicrous (in a funny way) when you think about it.

The way the NBA works now for All NBA is players are basically voted as basically the 15 best players in the NBA (regardless of position) for that year.

The names Barnes would need to beat out to even earn the 3rd All NBA next year are Tyrese, Siakam, Maxey, Paul George, Fox, Booker, Sabonis, Paolo, Mitchell, Wemby etc

Winning team is more important than the players. The likelihood of him making it next year is basically 0, but if he were to make it, that means we were probably a 45-50 win team, in which that shows he's probably a 1a option. So really there isn't much of a downside to it happening, it's just pretty much impossible.
