Didn’t need to tamper but did any way I guess. Got caught and punished for it too. Pretending otherwise is just being a homer.

Sigh. Do not call people homers. You know better.

I apologize. Sorry Knick

With Marshall in Dallas the Lakers should have a lot of interest in DJJ right?

Like, is that not a better fit then Klay?

Still like Zach Collins to NOP, though I like it less without the draft being an option to replace him. I don't know what the Kings would send back to SA though.

As expected, the Celtics are very much running it back. So there's very little in the way of trade potential there.

The six starters (including Horford) are untouchable.

Pritchard fills a need at a bargain, unless/until somebody like Springer becomes ready.

Hauser is apt to be extended, and then will be untouchable until guys like Scheierman or Walsh become ready.

Kornet has apparently been extended on a 1-year minimum deal. Queta has been given a multi-year, surely bargain-priced, deal.

Tillman and Brissett are up in the air at this moment. Neither will get a big contract, to put it mildly.

Springer's contract COULD be used as trade ballast, but it isn't big enough for that to seem likely.

It's huerter.

Does SA need him? If not not really an option.

Not sure what DJJ does for the Lakers that Vanderbilt doesnt. Ya he shoots better, but Vando's a better defender, and you dont really sign DJJ for his shooting.

Probably better to use cap for drummond and save room exception for someone else.
George 49M
Drummond 5M
Keep Reed to salary match in a trade up to 15M?
Room exception 8M
Gordon vet min
Maxey 35M
Embiid 51M

That adds up to 166M or so, so they should still ne able to fill roster out below 1st apron.

Hmm although mb they cant keep Reed with McCains contract

Show up healthy to play the game of basketball is obvious. Not to mention that the lakers have been specifically looking for a defensive guard for a minute because Vanderbilt isn’t picking up Steph Curry for 30 minutes a night, DJJ will do that and do it really well, he’s really not even going to be your POA defender for a guy like Booker or Murray.

But you tried to gloss over it very nonchalantly, but SHOOT the **** basketball is wildly important.

DJJ and Vanderbilt are not in this same tier right now, DJJ just played 30 minutes a night starting on a finals run. Vanderbilt played 16 minutes a night coming off the bench 2 years ago. Not the same.

Less than 20M. And they might lose Melton, Reed, Tobias, Buddy, and Oubre.

The Sixers will have an excellent 3 stars core. But they will be obligated to mimic the Suns by building a bench full of vet min ring chasers.

Yeah I see no way Lakers have interest in Jones with Vanderbilt still on the roster at, what is currently, an overpay. Just isn't enough of an overall upgrade to justify it.

I could see Frank offering the ntMLE *if* DeRozan and Klay don't come to fruition, but would hate that.

And a year ago Vando was one of the best POA defenders in the league making his impact felt (and ya, he was guarding Steph), and DJJ had to settle for the min. Whats the point of paying another mid tier role player to backup Rui when you already paid Vando to do what you want DJJ to do?

And they would have to make moves to even get to the point of being able to sign DJJ to the midlevel. even if you believe DJJ is an upgrade, and im not convinced he is, it really cant be worth it

If that’s how you think fair enough. We’ll have to agree to disagree. I have DJJ as a much better POA defender for guards and availability is the best ability. I just know Laker fans we’re begging for guard to come in and defend all season so I think he would fit some need.

Maxey (13)/Rick (1,9)
Gordon (Min)/Mcain 4
PG13 (49)/
Reed (7,7)
Embiid (51)/Drummond (5)

Total 131,6
M Roster Spots: 6,6
Total: 138,2
Sal Cap 140,6

They might only be able to get a Room MLE player for 7M and a trade using Reed as filler for 15,2M.

I do not know if PG13 would give a discount to get a better cheap player.

I’m at least class he still got the bag. I think the Klutch switch cost him a lot of money.

Does it have to be him? I don't know that SAC can have three max players (even though we're talking about old maxes Fox and Ingram) and expecting to stay under the tax. As far as I saw, they'd have to send out $10.7ish Million in salary on top of Barnes. There is more than one way to do that.

Guess if they include Lyles + Duarte or maybe colby. But I think we want to include huerter.
