Scary thing abou tthem is they can still offer the farm for Lauri. If they do, they are without a doubt the best team in the league. Love the way this team has been built. They have youth, and elite talent. Officially my 2nd favorite team in the league. Would love to see SGA win an MVP. Feel like he was robbed this year.

Chet and Hartenstein chemistry will be very interesting to monitor.

I feel like its a bit of an overpay for a guy who put up 7.8 PPG and 8.3 RPG in 25.3 MPG. I understand he's still young, plays hard, and spaces the floor but compared to some of the other contracts given out this seems a bit high. That said, if he is who OKC really wanted good on them for going out and getting a player who will be a key piece to what they are trying to do.

This is a steal if anything.
$30M/yr is a steal for Hartenstein?
Valaciunas just got paid $10M/yr. Hartenstein is not $20M/yr better than JV.

If I was the Knicks, I would have traded Robinson and kept Hartenstein. Great pickup for OKC, obviously.

I thought the $87 million in the title was a typo. He has to be the most well paid NBA player that I was the least familiar with entering the season before his free agency. I never heard of him before last season.

I would have paid more if I were the Magic. I mean, seriously, do you think a player like Ayton can contribute more to winning, and he gets the max?

Solid player, 30 million is crazy but it works for the time being with Chet J dub on rookie contracts. OKC look like favourites out west

Was any other team going to offer him that much? Seems like a lot. Good pick up though despite the overpay.

It’s not. His impact metrics peg him as a top 10-15 player in the league

Massive overpay... But if they win the title it wont matter.

Re: [Woj] Free agent C Isaiah Hartenstein has agreed on a three-year, $87 million deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder
This is an overpay but dang, good get for OKC. The contract matches when Shai's Supermax would kick in, so that's why they overpaid for 3 years. They realistically paid him for 3 years instead of paying him the same for 4.
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)

That man got paid!
I recall a couple seasons ago he was making less than $2 million on the Cavs lol

Love this for Hartenstein. Like it for OKC at three years. Hate, hate, hate it for the Knicks who should've had that 4-year, $72M offer on the table a week ago. Maybe Hartenstein takes the OKC meeting anyway, but maybe he doesn't.
The Magic need to circle back to Mo Wagner with the quickness now.

Decent player and fit but major overpay. Waste of cap space. Should’ve got Luke Kornet or Alex Len for $20m less per year
